Hi Tony. Extra special warm welcome for someone from Vic. About time. Once you get settled would be nice to see some pics of your bike. If you have problems posting pics, like many of us did initially, try this: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0. Cheers Thanks to you both for the warm welcome. I got put onto you guys by Somegirl from the DMF. Looking forward to riding with other Monster/Ducati owners who share the passion/sickness! Only one of my mates has a Duke, (my old Superlight), but he works in NZ now. All my other riding mates have other brands from GXSR1000 to Harley and everything in between, which is fine (I'm not a bike snob), but Dukes/Monsters are special. Cheers Tony

Welcome to all the newbies. I was getting worried things might get a bit quite around here in Feb. I got put onto you guys by Somegirl from the DMF.
From what I have seen she does a pretty good job of putting people in their place (so to speak). Its not often we have an introduction from somebody with so many posts on the board.

Close. Had lunch at Warburton, round the back of the Bakery in the coffee shop (the owner is Ducati mad! ) ah yes, I was the very tall man with the look of desperation in his eyes whilst looking for the public toilet (gave up and went for the nearest tree - sure I've psychologically scared some kids who where at the river feeding ducks - but children are tough creatures)...note to self 1 coffee + 1 litre of water before a bike ride has consequences! the 996 out the back was nice as well.

Willunga is really beautiful, my wife's grandmother and grandfather used to live there - but that was a couple of years ago now. Thanks for the greeting and the website - would like to go for a cruise with a fellow Monster!

Hi all
Just thought I would say hello, got a 696 at Xmas and its so cool to ride, my husband tries to sneak out for a quick spin whenever I'm not looking. He has his eye on a Streetfighter for 2010.... haha
Does anyone know what are the best replacement handle bars to suit (the standard bend is OK, don't need higher or wider) I just don't like the cheap looking chrome ones that are made of cheese that come standard. Every other new model has nice alloy bars.
Thanks Karen

Welcome Karen. Can't really advise on the handlebar. Jukie has a Rizoma conical bar on her 620 which is fatter in the middle but requires adapters ... it has a slightly different angle too. 'Made of cheese' may be an appropriate description as she did manage to bend one with her abdomen

Hi Karen,
Welcome along, great to have so many girls getting on the board. Do tell us what part of Oz you are from as Vossy asked. How did you hear about Ozmonsters?
Happy riding the 696 and I hope your hubby gets himself the SF soon.
