G'Day Lappie,

Ummm... I've been riding for over 10 years.  I recently traded my V-Rod in for a GSXR-600.  I like the agility but really missed the Torque and wanted something that had a soul.  I was originally looking for an older 1098/1098s but after trying some different bikes, I really didn't want to be in a racers crouch anymore.  Also, the bike needs a daily ride for me and the thought of doing that to a superbike just didn't sound right.  Test rode a 1100s and that was that! Three days later I called the guy back and we agreed on a price  Vino!

To say I'm excited is an understatement.

I brought my new bike home last night  bow down
Wow.... I thought I was excited waiting for it.
Now that I've had a good ride on it I'm even more excited!
The thing is amazing!!!  I can't believe I've never ridden one before this.
All I can say, is if you've never tried a monster, your missing out!
It's not the fastest bike I've owned, it's not the most comfortable bike, it's not the most expensive and it's definately not the cheapest, but my gosh... It's the funnest bike I've ever ridden.  Period!
I'm sure it's not everyones cup of tea, but I think I've found motorcycling nirvana!

Yep you've got it as bad as the rest of us.  Grin Grin

Nice to be reminded of what I was like when I first got mine.  I used to go out the shed just to look at it.  And I couldn't get the grin off my face for ages.

Still get the grin now when I'm on a good road enjoying myself.

Mate, keep your eye out for the southern rides. Could be worth a short commute to hook up along the way somewhere.

I'm with Heather, nice to be reminded of that feeling whe you first ride one of these babies. Congrats Lappie!

Oh, and if heather can come to syd to come away for a 3 day ride up north, then I hope we can find a way for you to ride with a posse of monsters some day soon.

Not so much a mass Monster ride for MotoGP and/or WSBK but s few smaller groups of people usually ride down for the events. And sometimes meet up with us Vicbloodytorians for a bit of a ride.

You just have to keep an eye on this place. When you're not out riding of course.
