I still have one more coat of clear to apply, which will go on this weekend.
Then it will sit to harden for a couple of days, it should be on the bike mid next week.

)
i had a fall last yr and still putting it back together. I think its safe to say that im nearly there! just need to sort out my headlight issue. I went around the block last weekend for the first time in a yr so im getting back into it slowly.

Welcome aboard Dom.
And hope to see you on the road soon I'm sure Dmoto will sort you bike out.
Mind you that head light plug is a standard h3 fitting could get one at any car wrecker, and resolder the wires on.
Please don't get offended When you see your name come up in some irrelevant post as there are a few here that are refered to as Dirty Old Men, Dom for short

Hi ya Dom,
Welcome along, you'll find a few more people here than at the other board, bit of a ghost town over there really.
I'm sure you'll like it here, lots to see and do.
cheers

Hi All,
I'm a new member based in Sydney's Inner West. My red LAMS 659 with ABS should arrive anytime now
I looked at insurance when I ordered the bike however it seems to have increased. Can anyone recommend a good insurer. I'm 40ish on my L's.
Looks like a ready good forum with lots of helpful info.

Congrats on the bike and these 659's seem to be selling well.
If you have a look here you will see some info regarding insurance on page 5 and 6.

Dee,
Thanks for the link. The original quote I got was around $800 but that was when I ordered the bike weeks ago. It arrives soon and so I thought I would sort some insurance and insure my ride quoted $2400
I must have typed something in wrong on the online form and so I'll try again.
Thanks again.

Kerry,
It's good to get feedback from current owners, it makes me think my rash purchase a few weeks ago was a good one. Cannot wait for the bike to arrive now :-)
I bought a red one with ABS, being a novice I thought ABS might help me out if I over do it.
Planning on keeping it standard until I go from L's to P's then I might look at the tidy tail and led lights upgrades.

Red, nice choice.
I got in before the ABS ones came out, i didnt really want the ABS.
Good luck on the keeping it stock, on the cosmetic side anyway.

Thanks for the welcome guys, will post up some picks as soon as I get it home.
J.
A few pics
Love the bike, love the sound
Stage 1 bling wish list:
Rizoma pressure plate, open clutch cover springs etc.
Rizoma mirrors (hate the stock mirrors)
CNC rearsets
Any advice with any of the above would be appreciated
J.
