If those wankers were looking to steal... I hope it was them that got caught, and Johnny Law throws the book at them.
If they weren't looking to steal (just being weird), then I wish them peace and simply hope they stop wierding people out.

Eh. Living in Portland we see crazies all the time and for the most part they are harmless.
It's the normal, quiet ones you have to worry about.

I know.... I was thinking the same thing... sucks... what do you do in that situation anyhow?
Ryan,
I'm sorry I wasn't there that day in your garage, tagging along to grab a soda pop from your fridge after a long ride. The wing man is a good practice we need to adhere to.
I have low tolerance for unmanly behavior, so I would have relished the opportunity to have a stimulating intellectual discussion with Bo and Luke Duke about the finer points of genteel behavior, maintenance of personal space, discretion in matters personal and private, and asking permission in advance of entering a man's property and home.
I'm sure they would not have felt threatened or intimidated at all by my presence.
I am a shy and fragile flower, after all. But somehow I think it would have turned out differently.

No seriously. You picked that dude up after you left 5. I was pretty much on your 7 until you bailed off 5 there was no red camaro type thing anywhere near you/us.
I actually thought you were gonna say white vette. You kinda cut between some cars close to one and he seemed to dog you for a bit . . .
I got swore at but that's nothing new.

So... two blocks down... yesterday... the cops busted about 6 people with a truck robbing a house... I guess a concerned neighbor didn't recognize the people who were moving items out of the house. Wonder if it is at all related to the poopdicks that were around my place on Sunday.
probably guaranteed

Some dude followed Wifezilla home the other day. Gave her a 3x5 index card with "I really like your card. If you're interested in selling it call me Wayne or Sara" and then a #.
Let's see a 98 beat up Outback just like the 11ty million others out there in the world. Yah, it's special and yah he wants it that bad. Oh, and yah, it was already written because he got right out of the car instead of needing time to write it and OH Yah it's in a woman's hand writing . . .
I'm not the least bit suspicious of that one . . .

So after a 40-minute ride on my brother Tom's 2007 CBR 600RR, I've concluded that I really don't want one. Like, ever.
The pegs are WAY too close to the seat, and the rest of the geometry doesn't work for me, either. My left leg was REALLY sore after that 40 minutes, and that included stops where I could put my feet down.
Erica was in a lot of pain for the last 15 minutes of the ride, too.
We can't wait to get back out on the SS. Neither of us remembers 2-up being so uncomfortable on it. If it is... guess I'll just need to get on the ball and buy a Multi.

Next time its a sunny day and you are in Portland... let me know and you can ride the Multi... you may change your mind on two up riding being uncomfortable...

Thanks! I may take you up on that.
I know 2-up can be done comfortably. I don't remember riding the SS 2-up being bad. The CBR was just terrible. Bad ergos for 2-up, and especially bad for tall people. My bro, while being 6'2", is more torso than leg length, so he's okay on it. I'm the opposite... long landing gear. So I can flat-foot tall bikes that others must tiptoe on, but the catch is that many bikes are too small for me to fold up on.
I've met several women, of all heights, who loved riding backseat on the Multi. That's one of the reasons I want one... so Erica can enjoy the ride as much as I do.
It's just a matter of budget. After our honeymoon and buying my ring (the latter of which I had forgotten to budget for), my bank account needs to recover. Then I need to pay off the Dodge and sell one of the VWs.

Mmm... motorcycling.
Rode to work today. I was all suited up (I looked like a tool in my Ducati-branded red rainsuit, but I don't care, it was on clearance for cheap
). It was still really wet in Stevenson & Cascade Locks. Once I got a few miles east, though... sunshine! Hood River is gorgeous today.
I may start riding in the rain more often (as long as it isn't too cold). Motorbike is definitely the best way to traverse the Gorge. [moto]
Now I just need a Multi with all the luggage, or I need to turn my SS into a pseudo-sport-tourer (Nelson-Rigg makes some cool looking semi-soft luggage for sportbikes, the Silver Streak line).

Man, woke up to some sucky weather this morning.
Blustery, cold, and raining hard. Such a letdown after the decent weekend riding weather we had.
