There are so many variables to an accident that it makes no sense to analyse it this way. But the "speed kills" message is simple enough for the general public to buy into and also helps to justify the revenue raising industry that it is based on it.

Not living in Vic I had not seen the ad before but had a non motorcycle Melbourne based friend tell me how confronting it is. It is pretty shocking now having seen it.

TAC will most likely defend the ad based on the premise that if it prevents one accident it is worth it. They are after all saving us from ourselves.

Road safety is full of more bullshit one line statements than football these days.  bang head

I'll stop now as I'm starting to sound like a Boris column in AMCN.
