I would say that the Yam is a better bike than the Honda this season... simply due to the chattering they're getting. Cant really blame Honda for it as it's probably because they designed the bike around the much harder previous tires but well... I guess that's racing. That previous article also said that it was only Honda that was having issues with the new tires.
And I dont see why Sykes and Hayden would be compared? Overall I'm actually pretty impressed with Hayden's riding this race.
But yeah, overall good race in the start and mid, a bit boring at the end.
Lets hope spies can keep this up... but even with Spies doing a better job... Cal's performance is pretty much sealing his move to the factory team imo.

The GP was fun. Nice to see The Ben pulling it together a little more. And Hayden always gets a
in my book. Damn that inferior Ducati
But the best part of today was Redding and Marquez on the last lap...

Not only the last lap but a bunch of laps previously too!

Agreed. Both are good, but it looks like the Yamaha has the advantage this year.
...which is why Spies' struggles are so weird. I thought he was going to turn it around this race, but nope (although he did do better).
Hayden had a decent ride, given his bike. I was hoping he could stay in the lead pack, but I knew he wouldn't be able to.
Lorenzo put on a show.
...and Crutchlow is the man.

On a bike that's inferior to the Honda.
I think you guys have been pretty soft on this statement. It's outright false. The only Yamaha rider that has been struggling has been the Ben. When both satellite riders are consistently finishing races right behind the aliens is proof enough that you have a sorted bike. When Lorenzo was behind Stoner you could tell that Casey was riding that thing like a bat outta hell. Lorenzo was just hanging out picking his spot. He knew he could pass at just about any corner. i think he was just hoping Casey would go in too hot into a corner, then he just got tired of waiting.
Cruthlow would have finished second, if not fighting for the lead. If it wasn't for the fact that he had to start dead last. That man is a beast and pretty much has the factory seat. If I was the Ben, I would look at the Tech 3 option now before he's forced to really downgrade or head back to WSBK next year.

Being a Rossi then Dovi fan, It was sad to see Dovi who was doing great and with the lead pack drop off due to problems (not sure if he crashed). Between Cal and Dovi, ofcourse I choose Dovi But Cal race today with the crazy injury was great.
I do love it when Cal always cracks on the BBC commentator :-). This time it was about his red pants. You can see the commentator doesn't really like it and has no good come back (or am I reading into it)

There is a pretty big difference between sixth and first. I like Cal, but I don't think he's got what it takes to be an alien.
And I guess you guys are right on the Yamaha, though I think it's results are due more in part by the talent that's on it.

Granted, Crutchlow gave up ~12 sec to Lorenzo over the course of the race.
But he passed 10 more riders, and had a broken ankle to boot.

He was the second fastest rider out there, second to Lorenzo. Let's say he would have qualified second row. That time that Lorenzo took to over take Stoner would have bunch them right up. I agree that Lorenzo would have eventually checked out, but he would have been battling with Crutchlow on his way to the podium.

Watched the Moto2 race last night. FAN-make the beast with two backsING-TASTIC riding from Redding.
And nice to see Pol dominate that way after the shit stick he was fed in Barcelona.
Wish Crazy Joe had finished a bit stronger as he is still my favorite Moto2 rider but the way Redding was pushing Marquez to the very ragged edge made me feel all warm and IZ_ inside. Definitely a great display of true racecraft from Redding.

Ben -- started 2d. Healthy all weekend. Finished 5th. On a factory Yami.
Crutchlow -- started 20th. Broken ankle (he was TAKING HIS LEG OFF THE PEG IN TURNS). Finished 6th. On a satellite bike. 3.5 seconds behind Ben.
Ben just officially lost his ride.
Anyone else catch Bautista's front wheel fold (I think it was in Turn 1)? For the life of me, I can't figure out how he didn't crash. It made absolutely no sense. Amazing.
