I know a few people on here have had them. What should I be worried about if I were to buy one?

Nothing I can think of. Loved mine, Stock it has a very agressive riding position. It would kill my back on short distance rides and I am not an out of shape guy. I added Helibars which helped allot but I still find the Monster more comfort

Great! If the only concern is riding position, then that's a good start. No engine or electric gremblins?

[thumbsup] Good bikes, but keep a careful eye on the engine oil level. They drink a fair bit, and a few have gotten a bit low and blown up! This issue primarily affected the early models and I don't think it is a problem with the newer bikes. Personally, I'd go for an MV, if I was in the market for a middleweight supersport!

What year are you looking at?  There was a problem with the R/R.  It's around $200 to replace.

??? I am not too sure which year, but it was the first models, the goldy yellow ones. It wasn't widespread, but is worth being aware of it if you buy one. Here in the UK it was reported in MCN. I seem to recall that the specified oil level in the crankcase window was at fault, but I could well be mistaken. Anyhow, I doubt that the few bikes that were affected, are still on the road.

Sorry, I was asking the question of the OP. :)

2010. It was serviced at the same dealer so I'm hoping to get the service records along within.

So it may have the old R/R.  Other than that, I haven't heard of any major issues.

I had one of the '08 SE Daytonas (the black and gold ones).  The thing was just about bullet proof!  I sold it to get the Super Duke and have to say that I wish I wouldn't have.  The SD made better sense when I lived in Hawaii, but I'd rather have the Triumph now that I'm in the DC area.

Here's my old one...

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
