actually you could go opposite and smooth the subframe and go with a repaint to black front/rear subframes

I really am thinking about it but I don't know yet. The wife is saying there's too much red on it...lol. If I could find out a way to put a trellis style subframe on instead of that boxy crap I would do it 100%. Maybe I could have one fabbed up?
no way there's too much red. it's just the right amount with the flat black canvas IMO.

Is the postion of the S4R rear sets any different than that of the stock?
those wheels look good - wonder how hard it would be to incorporate the ABS/tc sensors?

The rearsets sit in the same location for the most part. I was comfortable with stock I just wanted to remove the chicken wings. As for the abs, I haven't looked it up just yet but Raux was saying the sensor might not be part of the disks so it might work. Just gotta do a little searching.

great pics. you planning on matching the subframe in color?
I just picked up a set of the subframe covers from an S*R so I'm gonna play with that a bit. Im hoping it will give the illusion of a trellis subframe. If not I might just paint it to match te main then cover it a little using those bits.

That's a great idea on the side covers. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Very cool. What exhaust wrap did you use? I've been debating between this and ceramic coating but pulling the pipes off to get them done seems like a pain in the butt..

I just used a generic black 2" wrap from amazon. Then i realized that it didnt come with the silicone paint (which is really hard to come by for me in germany) so i just used high temp grill paint to coat it. I plan on pulling the pipes back off and redoing the whole thing once i get some more. this was just a leftover amount from my Guzzi. Lucky it was enough to do the whole front header. I like it a lot more now.

Nice looking bike you got there!
Question regarding the S*R rearset swap:
I know you have to use the S*R brake lever but can you use the 796 shift lever in place of the S*R one? The reason I ask is most used S*R rearsets I have found do not include the shift lever. It would be nice to know the 796 lever would work in place.

Like how your bike is turning out.
The S*R wheels are much more open, and I think they look quite good.
Edit:
BTW, nice boots.

I'll have my wheels mounted this week. Have you figured out anything on the air scoops?

Your clutch lever is silver so I assume it is the S*R one. Aside from the color it appears to look identical to the 796 clutch lever. There is a set on eBay right now that I am tempted to pull the trigger on.
