Hey Raux
I challenge you to leave it stock laughingdp.
Ok, the only mods allowed are for practical, comfortable sports touring. Grin

yeah, yeah

trying to find an ST3 seat now. I also saw risers but not sure how they fit with the bars almost hitting the fairings on full lock now.
and trying to find the rear rack/bag that is compatible with the Nonfango side bags.

and need the straight kickstand and upgraded shifter (less close in to the motor)
and of course a better windscreen

ok so these are all standard 'fixes' and not mods

BUT that S2R swingarm just looks bad-ass on the bike. really updates the bike. that with maybe a MTS 1200 style exhaust

oh and upgraded forks with radial brakes
maybe 330 rotors

then the chip is need with a K&N filter...

oh I could go on and on and on

plus if i move back to the states I'll need a complete frame swap to a US VIN so might as well right? perfect time to do the swingarm

I reckon the later Y spoke wheels would look great as well, a little less VFR! If your gonna go the whole hog and do the front end you could tie in the matching front wheel!

HeliBars would be the way to go!...I have heard some using convertibars, but not with much success...

as far as compatibility with Nonfango, not much at all out there, as I run into the same thing with the Nonfango's on my Gran Canyon....currently I am looking for a new closing mechanism for my Nonfango topbox that I got for my Gran Canyon from a guy that took it off his Cagiva Navigator, but the key snapped off in the lock cylinder and I jacked the mechanism up opening it up after the fact...so you either have to pony up and get Givi or some other company as a whole system.

ok so these are all standard 'fixes' and not mods

so when are you going to put in the Ducati Designs headlight kit from Paul Gellar under that mode of thinking then?

Seriously, I reckon, ECU tune, open airbox, dialed cams (Brad might have specs?), maybe pull out the base gaskets or hicomp pistons and 999/1100 brake master cylinder and braided lines.
More power for hi speed touring and improved brakes.

...then the chip is need with a K&N filter...

I picked up a new chip from a dude in Slovakia on e-bay for about $45 shipped.  They're either knock-offs, or he found a warehouse full of them somewhere. Either way, it made a huge difference on my '99 ST2. Runs better, stronger, no more stumbles at low RPM's and the fan kicks in a little sooner. Best upgrade I've ever made and inexpensive, too.

This is the dude: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-ST2-Eprom-Chip-for-Open-Exhaust-965056AAA-for-Complete-Exhaust-assembly-/160879492770?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item25752a3ea2

minor adjustments coming

going to go with 916 era 3 spoker on the rear

will try to keep the ST2 stock can look but only on the left side if it fits with the swing arm

not upgrading the front for now either.

I put a few "parts wanted' posts for the project. so if you think you have something to help with the project, check them out.
