Be careful out there, the streets are rife with idiots. (All three lanes NJ side towards tunnel shut down for an hour and a half while they tried to figure out how to tow my bike away...)
She was good to me. I'm fine, just a bit sore. And miss my baby.

Yes! It didn't occur to me till much later, but I wanted my wife to come with me into the city last night but she didn't want to. I am so thankful that she didn't. Things would be so much worse :-(

Glad your alright. Also, your bar ends and frame sliders are probably still good. Did you get sandwhiched by someone up front? or just the guy from behind.

Was pushed into the guy in front too. Seems like the only damage there was a cracked front fender for me, and some soft Pirelli love marks for him. Fender should be replaceable... stock carbon though *sigh*

Can't imagine there would have been some serious torquing on the frame.
Being ok is good though.

Yeah, when I saw the subframe split I accepted in that moment that the bike was totaled and a goner. But you never know... if I'm not missing anything major I think everything can be replaced in the range of $10k... no idea what the blue book on the 2010 1100S ABS is... anyone know? If they give me enough I wanna go with the RAM full carbon subframe & full mag swing arm... maybe some BST Carbon wheels since my rear is absolutely dead (something smashed a hole through the tire and rim). New exhaust too... willing to take suggestions on what to get as replacement. But the engine is all good, no leaks or anything... so maybe maybe maybe... I'll update you guys as I hear from the insurance

The issue could be the amount of tq put on the main frame and motor mount during the splitting of the rear frame.
As well as the wheel pushing the swingarm into the motor bearings
that looks like a pretty serious impact

If you want to keep and fix the bike, get to a shop. Before calling the adjuster inspect (chime in and add to the list, folks):
Rear engine case for cracks at the rear mounting point.
Any kinks or cracking paint on the frame.
There should be a page in the shop manual with points to measure the frame.
Make sure the engine runs and you can shift through the gears. You will need to remove the chain.
Price out what you know you need.
Add a notable budget for the unseen.
Also keep in mind not having clear title will greatly reduce the value of your bike. When the adjuster goes to the shop, be there. Tell him you want to keep the bike. If he writes the estimate on the low side you can avoid salvage title. I did that with my bike, but my damage was cosmetic. With your damage I doubt an adjuster would cooperate, but try anyway. I love seeing bikes saved, but you need to go into this eyes wide open.
