Thats what I was thinking too...

Also note the small arms but bigger legs, traits found on the fairer sex.

Well.....if the plate said "New Jersey" on it, then I'd assume that was one of their "women". *shudder*
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I have a good one that happened to me yesterday.

I was coming into a three way intersection near my house. The road coming from my left has a yield sign and I have the right of way. As I'm entering the intersection this squid just blows the yield and crosses in front of me, cutting me off. The road we were on is very lightly traveled and in an industrial area so there is was traffic much traffic as it was a Sunday. The speed limit is 40mph further down the road and this kid (he's wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, no gloves but at least he has a helmet) is now doing about 25mph after cutting me off so I go around him (at the speed limit) and then into the next turn. After the turn there is a long straightaway and this moron passes me with another vehicle coming the other way.

About a 1/2 mile later I see him up ahead stopped at a red light. As I pull up behind him I take a look at his bike. It's a GSXR, I'm not sure of the displacement because the decals have been removed, it has a chrome extended swingarm, it looks like it hasn't been wased since he's owned it, and to top it all off the rear tire is bald. And by bald I'm being conservative. The thing is completely flat in the middle and the belts are showing all the way around the tire.   ???

I half expected to see him wrapped around a tree further up the road.  [roll]

Harley rider today with a half helmet and T shirt splitting lanes at highway speed. Traffic was going at least 70 and he must have been doing 80-85.

Flew by me with no wave. The other 2 sports riders before him that passed me both gave me a nice wave.

Tennis shoes, T-shirt, no jacket, no gloves, BUT had an Icon back protector worn over the shirt.  Came down Palomar mountain, stopped and promptly fell over.

I discovered that one of my co-workers is a squid.

He rides a Harley to work, with a short-sleeved button shirt and jeans, no gloves, and a half helmet.  That doesn't quite qualify him.  But...

I asked him about his half helmet.  He conspiratorially showed me the inside of it (no padding to speak of), and then pointed to the DOT sticker, and explained that it was a fake sticker that he applied himself, so that cops wouldn't ticket him for wearing an unapproved helmet.

Wow.  Fails to grasp the helmet concept.  He's legally obligated to wear a helmet, and so chooses one that's not actually protective.

Apparently this is somewhat common.  For those interested in a legal discussion (a court opinion) about counterfeit DOT stickers, there's this not-so-exciting (but informative) read:  http://usff.com/hldl/courtcases/oredecision.html

I'm usually don't care when I see squids cruising around with no gear. They'll only hurt themselves (although the ones they care about could be hurt emotionally i suppose).

Anyway 2 weeks ago I pull up to the dairy queen in a small town. Dickhead on a Goldwing with his (maybe) 6 year old son on the back. Dad was at least wearing chaps. The son - tank top, shorts, flip-flops. I was speechless - almost. But then again I guess goldwings never go down right.  [roll]

The kid had no helmet? Pretty sure every state has a law that if you are under 18 you must wear a helmet on a motorcycle...

After reading this thread and realizing most of us Monster/Ducati riders wear our gear.  Makes me feel better when I get stupid looks from other riders.

Sadly, I saw a squid on a Monster today.  No helmet, t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes.  Wanted to flip him off just becuase he makes us look bad.  To each his own I guess.

Who makes the better Exhaust Protector, Arai or Shoei?

Or is it more important that the Exhaust Protector matches my bike?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

While driving yesterday afternoon with my wife, we saw a squid on a dark red Yamaha R1, helmet (required by law), gloves, tank top, shorts, running shoes.  He did a three lane drift across in front of us, no signal, just kind of pointing with his left hand, then he proceded to tail gate another car after which he passed it on the left shoulder while doing a stand up wheelie.  [roll]
