Often wrong. Never in doubt.

With temperatures forecast to reach around 40°C .... it seemed like a good day to go for a ride around the neighbourhood.

Started with a fuel-up at my local servo... the day was already beginning to warm up..

Cool in the shade on my way down to the coast..

The rail tracks have sadly long ago been ripped up but some of the old trestles remain..

Bloody hot now.  The 'roos sensibly stayed in the shade despite the warnings..

Remains of the old bridge over the Powlett River..

The Powlett meandering closer to its destination..

The river meets the ocean..

Over the bridge to Phillip Island (tedious riding on the island, so I didnt)...

Refreshment stop.  By the time I got to the Fish Creek pub my 3 litre Camelbak was empty....  heat of the day had really begun to hit.  Replenished my water supplies... doused my t-shirt.... ready for the road again.

Cooler up through here..

And hot again back up on top..

Few rumbles of thunder on the way home... two or three drops of rain..  a cooler and pleasant end to a fun but hot day out  Cool

Your bike makes me wish I'd held out to find an 1100s instead of picking up my evo. Stupid wet clutch.  Angry

It's cold and wet here in northeast USA too. Stupid weather.  I'm doing everything wrong. Also, I'm hungover this morning. Stupid beer.

Very sexy bike. i'm usually not a fan of lots of gold bits (except the ohlins of course) but it all works on yours.
Very jealous of your wheels.
You also have the black over red going on which I find so appealing in any era Monster.
Really nice looking bike.

Great report man!  You've got some great scenery around you!  I like the tropical looking one with the tight turn sign!
