So looking forward to meeting you at Bonneville. I'll be there taking notes and asking questions for an attempt at the 100cc record in 2014.

Looking forward to meeting you as well!!

We're getting pumped about Bonneville.  REALLY pumped up.

Been making some engine and chassis progress, but nothing photo worthy of yet.

Neither myself, nor our project are dead...  I took a minor motorcycle spill which left my right forearm in a cast for 5 weeks total.  NOT recommended and NOT a good time for it to happen, but it did nonetheless...  dammit.

Anyways, here's some shots from the past however-many-weeks:

Frame prepped for motor installation:

Short-case of motor installed (local dealership mechanic did the work as I couldn't...):

Alternator side coming together:

Clutch side nearly completed:

Bodywork *just* before going off to painter: (note: I had to notch out the 'fuel tank' to lower it over the vertical head...  Kinda cool I think...)

Alternator cover together and I'm curing the loc-tite for the cylinder barrels & heads to be installed by this weekend:

I take it the "local" mechanic was Cloner?...looking good...and BTW...what is the $$$ of paint versus say a shrinkwrap graphics job?...and how the hell did you bonehead your arm into a cast?

I boneheaded into a cast by applying too much front brake whilst slowing for a stop light and riding in the dead center of the lane just after it rained...  Oily asphalt, recently upgraded front brake and a lapse of reason.  I broke the middle bone of my right pinky finger.  :-/

Cost of paint?  A local painter offered to shoot the silver for the cost of materials.  Just can't pass that up!

perhaps upper level supporters could be enticed to donate a touch more if they had the opportunity to have their name on the bike ?!?!?!...stenciled in list of supporters in various places with the sponsors taking billboard roles of display.

just a thought....

We were planning names on the bike in exchange for support but... we ran out of time for this year largely due to my asphalt-surfing incident.  Perhaps next year!
