Well, good morning from Bonneville!

We're psyched for today's prospects for speed...  "Lucky" nearly passed tech inspection yesterday and it's only a short matter of time before we're ready to get the last few things signed off on today.

Temperature hasn't been too bad this week, staying in the upper end of double-digits.  Humidity is next to nothing so that helps too...

A *BIG* shout-out to everyone who has supported us thus far!  Salt time comes today and we're very excited!!!

Bike was running slightly off & I managed a 104.xxx mph on my first pass which lets me remove the large 'R' sticker from my helmet indicating that I was a rookie...

We're doing more test-n-tune this morning looking for smoother power...

More details as they come in!

Bike has ran as fast as 130.733, and backed that up today with a 126.353.  Both riders got qualified for thier 'D' license.  We're trying to get the 3rd rider thier 'D' license now...

So are you only allowed to run certain speeds in order to get licenses for the next level? Prove you can safely run at 130, then next time out you can go faster?

Well, here's the recap for Bonneville SpeedWeek 2013:

We arrived on Thursday evening August 8th with a non-running bike.  Just wasn't enough time in ABQ to screw with all the required bits to make combustion happen.

By Friday evening August 9th, we had sorted out that the ignition coils had been fried (by an assumption in my wiring) so alternatives were sourced (non-Ducati coils and some automotive spark plug wires) and we made fire that evening!

We sorted some of the tuning out on Saturday and Sunday.  By Monday, we had it running well enough to run it by the tech inspector types.  We nearly passed, but it required some more fabricating to get it all dialed in which meant Tuesday morning it passed tech. (YAY!)

"Lucky" (as the bike has been dubbed) made it's maiden voyage down the salt on Tuesday afternoon with myself aboard to the tune of 104.667mph and netting me a clean 'Rookie' pass.

Wednesday morning was cooler and with L'Scott aboard, "Lucky" blasted off a 130.733mph.  With Dirty Duc aboard that afternoon, "Lucky" clocked off a 126.563mph.  Both of those passes earned the rider a 'D' class SCTA license.    We did more tuning and testing on Wednesday and Thursday also (13 passes on Thursday alone) but were unable to best 125mph again.

Had a safe drive back & all the team is ready for SpeedWeek 2014!!
