You're using 2-stroke reed valve assemblies on the compressor, so you get 2 compressor strokes for each (power cylinder) intake stroke?

Yes.  There's plenty of boost available, but it adds a lot of heat to the charge.  A power-limiting amount of heat.

Motor is an '03 DS1000 with unknown mileage but seems to run well.  Front end is an '01-'03 GSXR600 unit b/c it was cheap and is the same that the 749LSR runs (to keep parts the same between the bikes).

Due to work and other life-demanding BS, I was completely unable to lend a hand this year.  That will NOT be the case in '15...

There is also talk of a 3rd Team UnorthoDUX bike.  This time in a Monster frame...

Is the blowoff valve opening?

Yes.

It's managing the boost properly, but either the design of the blower or the amount of boost is really demanding.  With the "little" spring, it just doesn't make power (~66mph on the last day).  The first pass was "big" spring only with fixed advance and the wrong dwell.  With both springs, MAT was about 200 degrees at idle, and went up from there (~80mph passes in between first and last).

We need to talk about your blower system.

What bike configuration set the existing record?

They're not in the Speedweek program, and I didn't see them in the World of Speed entry list.

I didn't actually look for the team until you just asked the question.  I was pretty sure they weren't doing what I was doing, so it didn't seem relevant.

So, an update to the plan for this year.

4960 - Single Supercharger gets a new blower head and some fiddling work like a new gas tank that doesn't get in the way of laying down, new exhaust, some lowering and some other bits.  And goes to methanol.

7490 - 749LSR gets new exhaust, some bodywork, and a few tweaks I'm calling part of the learning curve.  And goes to methanol.

You can ride it on the salt... you can also ride it on what I'll call my "test track" [evil]
