C'mon now - you had to know that he made it. The guy can weld Ti like a champ - a few bits of steel will present no challenge.  Grin

Randy,
really, really high class work, makes my own feeble attempts in this direction seem generally embarassing.
I assume the quality comes not just from enthusiasm but also from a lot of professional experience (maybe the answer is in the monster frame thread, but I´m still working my way through that one...). The quality of those welds is a real joy to see applause applause

As I´m planning for a frame job of my own, but in steel tubing, I´d be interested in any hints about tube bending and tube end preparation (I think I´ve seen the expressions "fishmouthing" somewhere) you´d care to share.

I´ll be following this very closely, for sure  bow down

I'd be glad to help in any way. Shoot me an email if you want, stradafab@yahoo.com

I have just about all of the tubes tacked in:

It's going to be a straight Sport Classic. I never even thought about a SS rear suspension....

So what sort of weight difference are you expecting with this frame?  What tube set are you using? Curious about the torsional/lateral rigidity compared to the stock steel frame.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
