So... I am working on a project to change the current looks of my 796 into vertical dual headlights.  I will buy couple of aftermarket headlights together with couple of brackets...

My current problems would be the following:
1- What size of brackets should I buy  (I currently don't have my bike so can not measure and will buy brackets on-line)
2- What shall I do in regard to the light indicators!!  any ideas?

thanks

Your Opinion is based on technical or taste wise?  [beer]

there is one guy here whose screename starts with a "c" IIRC ( celli maybe? ) who has a stacked custom headlight that he made from a lamborghini headlight....but I have also seen where someone chopped the hell out of and customized a 749/999 headlight also....

Few years ago i was walking down the street of Paris.  It was there parked near tens of bikes.  I looked, walked, stopped and walked back to it and said to my self "what is that piece of art??!!" ... I fell in LOVE.... complete graphite with two narrow vertical headlights.  It was sexy, bad a$$ meeeeeeeen bike...

I'm in kaiserslautern. i would say you could use my bike for a test if you know where to get the lights.

I hope to get the one part I need to get it back on the road, early in the week.

Do it!  I like the vertical arrangement - it looks very industrial.  I looked into this setup when doing my custom headlight and came up with a fairly good solution.  I would love for someone to make this a reality.  Here it is:

Oberon makes this dual headlight kit:

Pay no attention to the actual headlights here you would only use the two fork clamp mounts (yes they will sell them separately - about $80 if I recall).  Mount the clamps staggered on your forks with the higher one upside down.  Now that you have the mounts you need to decide on a headlight.  You will have limited vertical space so you need very compact units.  You can go with small projectors like you posted or small LEDs like these:

Mount the headlights on the end of the fork clamps with the higher one upside down.  Swivel and adjust them to get them as stacked and tight as possible.  They may be slightly staggered in the end depending on the length of those fork clamps.  This would make for a pretty clean look as the headlights would kinda be floating there between the forks.  You have to use some imagination here but it would looks something like this -

I am totally dumb when it comes to hooking stuff like this up.  I would totally pull the trigger on this if I could find someone to customize it for me...
