I've got a 16mm goldline master, 4-pad calipers, BrakeTech iron rotors and CP-211 pads on my S4.
I've never felt like I needed more brake.

I've got a 13mm big-pivot master and a half-set of the above, on my M750.
Lever is a bit softer than on the S4, hasn't bothered me enough to track down why.

Nothing wrong with the Monoblocks, but like you said, lots of $ and effort to convert.

SBK forks are nicer, so there's that.
I forget what's been done to your forks, so perhaps they're already nicer than SBK.
If you've not done anything to the internals, there's room for improvement there.
SBK cartridges can be made to fit your S4R forks as well.

Internals for my forks have the racetech goldline upgrade and the rear shock nicely upgraded too. Not an ohlins but nice enough for a track day or just canyon twisting. Brake lines are Spiegler performance with ABM rotors and 848 masters and CF Ducabike levers.

Anyone know the length of the clutch line on the S4R? My spiegler line busted and we have 3 days of warm weather headed to DC [thumbsdown].  Need to order a new one.....

Sending my DPM side covers and titanium exhaust to Bonehead performance to have them all ceramic coated black velvet or matte.

Spoke to Chuck and he says just shipped some stuff your way, so he's earned my business.

Shipping out the following parts to be powder coated:
  - Passenger rearsets (Red)
  - Cyclecat rearsets (Black)
  - DPM side covers (Red)
  - Clutch cover (Black)
  - Titanium belt covers (Red)

Decided to not ship the exhaust since the titanium coloring is very unique and shouldn't be covered up. Will see how all this stuff turns out soon enough.

I can't believe you're coating those Strada belt covers! BHP4 does nice work but daaaamn..

I know a good anodizer too, just FYI...

Going for a lower profile of the kill switch on the Monster. Does anyone know if one of a 1995 Ducati M900 will work? Hoping its a straight plug up rather than rewiring. Like that it's slimmer than the bulky wide one. Open to other suggestions as well. Trying to do the same thing with the left side, horn/turn signal.

Pretty sure the old switch has a different connector.

StreetFighter (and others) have nice small switches.
AFAIK, the kill/start switch will work with a connector swap.
The left hand switch will require  a connector swap, relays and electrickery to work.

Someone here has done it, I think.

Thanks Speeddog. Chatted with Rude and fought a SF kill switch that will plug and play with the Monster.

Just so you're certain, the "plug and play" is anecdotal info that I'm passing along. I never did install that switch or attempt to. You may want to message Kopfjäger and ask him to explain how he did it.

On my bike I understood it to be plug n play with the caveat that I'd need to either rewire a proper connector or hardwire it. That plug changed in 02 then again around 08 I believe,  maybe earlier. Post a pic of your switches pigtail and we can confirm. But worse case scenario you'd need to either hardwire it, or to do it right find the correct weatherpack connectors and solder + heat shrink.

Coolest thing about that switch besides the slim profile is the "sheath" that the kill switch slides out of sight behind when in the off position. You should go the full Monty and do the left switchgear too if you're handy with electronics. That would be a cool project to have documented on the board.

Also trying to find a better rear spring. Seem to be doing a lot of 2up riding. Current spring is set for my weight with gear at around 170lbs. With the GF (130ish) what type of spring should I be looking for to support both our weight with gear but not to harsh when riding alone.....

Rear shock is a Penske 8983. So adjustable with a remote reservoir.

Re the SF kill switch, DigiKey has the connectors. If anyone is really serious about doing it, I can dig up the part numbers.

The left side switch is fairly complicated to do, depending on the bike it is being installed onto. To make it work on my 1100evo would have required about five relays, one of them being a latched type such as used on older VWs. Even with the Panasonic Micro Relays, it is a difficult fit. I finally gave up on it when I could not get all of the functions to operate correctly. When I would get one function to work, another would stop. Being electrically handicapped, I went back to stock on the left side.

Abandoned the SF killswitch idea for this year. Maybe I'll think about doing it again next winter. With the powder coating, suspension and carbon fiber work I'm spent/spending money on my wallet is crying.

Plus Rude posted something earlier that makes me want gauges again. Moto Gadgets were too expensive but the ones he posted look sweet.

Penske rear shock rebuild since the head seal is blown... Whoops.

Trying to determine what simple yet elegant piece on CF or bling I can add to the bike without making it look cluttered or over done. Having a hard time finding unobtanium parts that go well and distinguish the bike more than it already is.

And yes I know BST's but they're $4K  :o
