I'd love to get a job at a Ducati dealership...

I know this seems really random and strange but hey, this IS the Ducati Monster Forum. 

I'm a college student (junior) going to University of Georgia in the fall, really close to the Ducati Dealership in Watkinsville GA. I would absolutly kill to get a job or internship there. Unfortunatly, my only credintials include...two years of military college and new ownership of a ducati monster.  Not reaaaaally much to go on. I can't think of any job I would rather have than being around Ducati's all day. I am going to pick up a job application in a couple of weeks and maybe talk to the manager. Any ideas?

So has anybody heard of someone getting like an intership or part-time job at a ducati dealership?

You'll never know till you try. What position would you be applying for?  They could have openings in service or parts or maybe even sales. Good luck and keep us posted.

You forgot to mention that you're obviously passionate about Ducs.  That went a LONG way with the mgt at R&S Yamaha/Ducati in Albq, NM when I applied.  It was a good job except that I had to fake interest in Yamaha products like 60% of the time until I became the go-to guy for Ducati sales.

I wouldn't do it now, but I'm glad I worked there when I did.

What are you talking about?  Some people at the local Ducati dealership's are very "passionate" about their careers.

Accept for being a tech, the other positions should be based on what the owner wants out of them. Only one way to find out. 


NPR is nice, haven't been there in awhile but the seem to be good people.

There's always the parts guys that drive the counter.  Only a little common sense and being familiar with the bikes is required for that job.  One of our drivers need a job during the day between is bus routes so he didn't have to drive the bus an extra 80 miles each day.  One of the local car dealers paid him to prep (wash, wax, detail etc) cars that customers purchased before they picked them up.  Might find some general grunt work like that available too ~
