It is gets cold in my area. I've got rizoma handle at my m696 and I noticed that if twist wrist and quickly release handle it sticks to it's position and slowly or sometimes suddenly goes back to 0.
I can accept that and probably solve it with some lube.
But what really questions me is that if I twist handle slowly at cold weather nothing happens until I reach ~25% of throttle open, revs does not goes up.

What to check?

The reason the revs return slowly is probably the grip hitting the throttle housing. You should fix that.

Do the rpms lag once the bike warms up?

yes. only at cold weather.

Also side-question/
I've got termi slip-ons after bike starts white smoke comes from only one barrel and closing it with hand does not make second one exhaust smoke. after few minutes there is less smoke comes out but some smoke starts to come out from second one. Is it normal?

It most likely is running too lean.

Do you have the ecu to go with the Termi's?

The 'smoke' is condensation. Don't worry about it.

... slip on termis on my 696 used to do exactly as the OP described on start up....  puff of white "smoke" from one side... nothing from the other.

DP is right, it's condensation.

My old 900 does the same until it's warm.

yes. The more expensive ones.. feels not normal, just like handle and control unit moves together lol, like it moves on it orbit.

I know about condensation but barrels come from one pipe after all - weird that they work not simultaneously .

Thanks for your input guys.

So will lube fix handle?

just exterminated grip.
Seems like they were not designed for cold weather. Rubber\plastic base of the grip came loose at cold making top aluminum part of grip slide on it's base. Will try glue....

Have not fixed it yet.
Very disappointed with Rizoma brand.
Grips are simple and sometimes critical.
I was not able to move from red light as throttle did not responded.
I hope it will not happen in the middle of the corner.
