Interesting ^^^.

Kind of a role-reversal of colors from the original M900's.

Yeah, I see a lot of silver case-black covers-black jugs-silver heads....this one is the exact opposite; black cases-silver covers-silver jugs-black heads.

Most people do the covers in black, and I rarely ever see black cases. This way is a little more unique, and there's perfect contrast and separation everywhere. The cases will stand out better from out of the silver frame which will have cohesion with the silver covers, with the big black heads poppin out 'atcha along with the tank, and the black forks and black swingarm driving the point across.  Evil I do realize I'm not being daring at all...there are very few colors that are guaranteed to look sweet on a bike like black and silver.

Now I need to decide between the silver Tall Boys or black Cycle Cat clip ons.

I'm considering using my dremel to polish the fins on the heads...anyone have any experience with this? I really don't wanna screw up my fresh PC.

De-anodized one of the bits that made it over from the old bike...my Oberon turn signals...

The effect will be striking.
Love this build.

I've not done it. I would just be concerned not to cause chipping around the edges since it's PC. I would think it's easier to do that with paint, being a little more "plastique". The Painter and others might chip in. You could ask in the paint tips section.

If you're crafty, you can take the brake bracket and cut off the arm and make it a free-floating type.  You need to get a couple of rose joints and a rod and attach it to the motor to steady it.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

There was a rare "S" version of the M900 that had this setup, along with the alloy suspension linkage the 851/888's had. And an alloy swingarm of course. I regret not getting an alloy swingarm.  Sad I actually toyed with the idea of doing all of that.

Thanks for the encouragement y'all. My engine tech just told me "several more weeks" for him to finish the motor. Sad guess I'll be buying more stuff in the meantime,  hehe.

It's looking super sharp... following...

Didn't your M900 come w/ an alum swingarm?   My '98 did, and w/ adj forks.

What years were the early M900 S models? Mine appears to have come w/ S specs except no CF or Ohlins. I've seen a 2000 M900S w/ Ohlins.

Really enjoying reading about Buck's plans and doings.

I am jealous to see how well some people can coordinate and integrate design, colors, and textures. I can make and assemble things but am lost when it comes to making the entire package come out as a coordinated and harmonious design. No doubt in my mind, Buck's bike will be a winner.....and lighten his wallet along the way.  Wink  But, if you spend it, you never have to wonder where it went.  waytogo

Ah, cmon man it's silver and black..it's the design equivalent of odd and even numbers. But thanks. Smiley

Silas I never had an M900. My last bike started out life as an M750 and ended up with a transplanted 900ss engine. This bike has a NOS 2000 M600 frame and the engine is another 900ss. I think the S model 900's with the floating rear brake were 00-01.
