Will this ebay item fit and function on my 01' Monster tank?

The seller does not offer returns on this item.  So I would appreciate some help.

If it is a metal tank it will fit.  What amount of fuel left will light the light if it is installed in a Monster tank?  Dunno.  Rudemouthsky just bought one  http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=69869.0

My bike is a 01' 750 Monster with metal tank.  I think the ebay sensor is the way to go.  Maybe I can remove the connector form the bad sensor and use on the new.
Thanks,  Sterling

If this is your bike, then PN 59210132A is the correct part and fits ALL CARBED Monsters from 90-04[M400], but, not EFi or ie Monsters . . . Info directly from Ducati parts catalog

PN 59210071A = 59210072B will only fit SBK 748-851-916-996 . . . will not fit ANY Monsters

Wished I could give you an image, but, working on two separate laptops one is intranet and this one internet

From experience there is two lengths of senders. The shorter length is for Monsters IIRC. The FI vs carbie doesn't matter regarding the nut...all Ducs share a common size. The fi has 4 wires in the connector and the carbie has two, which can be swapped. The wires to feed the pump can simply be snipped off on the tank side and the connector side of a FI sender to use on a carbie.
