Rossi may be down but he is matching JLo's pace

It was kind of incredible watching these laps live, everyone was running 130's and at one point crutchlow was at the top and then the aliens woke up and blasted into the sub 130's

Good stuff

The riders seem to like the new asymmetric front.

All the factory riders were on the softer option rear, and probably will race on it.

They flipped the configuration on the asymmetric front, now soft in the center and right side, hard on the left.

Intent was to make braking performance better than last year, where it was hard compound center and left, soft on right.

NICE! So will Ducati be able to use the soft tire in the race? The softest option for the factory teams is medium, but it would be a huge advantage if the soft tire would last the whole way through.

I'm pretty sure Iannone set his fast lap today on the soft, but I'm not sure if they've done any race simulations with it.

My boy Maverick in 4th in FP3.  Cool
5th is another good result....

Miller in 11th is surprising me (as is Redding)

I did read comments that because the Honda spinning the rear has been an issue all season, the Honda riders are used to riding around that...
May explain them doing better than usual this season.

Wonder how much closer the Yamaha will get dialled in pre race, I expect Rossi to get a lot closer.

Quaifying results: Marquez, Ianonne, Lorenzo. Rossi a dismal 7th. He's got his work cut out for himself this race.
