I was looking at my exhaust when I was working on my bike this past weekend and noticed how the oem header/x-collector looks like it would restrict flow a lot.  Is there aftermarket options for this bike? It seems there are only slip ons available, which my bike already came with. I saw someone post "spaghetti header" for s4 in this section which is same era of bike, but not a match in terms of engine.  Bike has a ds1000 motor amd dual sided swing arm so options seem pretty slim.

Pretty sure you will need to scour the used market, never was much as far as I know.  An alternative to get some flow is cut open the crossover and modify.  Needless to say, this will not help with cornering clearance.

Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Awesome.... so stock it stays I guess. Not spending 2 grand on an exhaust.

The oem headers are reportedly good for 90 odd hp. I have seen some crossovers opened up but was once told not to open them too much.
I had a 900 Superlight that had one channel each side opened not all four.

Im bringing this back from the dead as im about to build my motor. Im doing a 4mm over bore, 11.5:1 cr pistals, dp cams, headwork, new bearings... etc... so now with all this extra jam, i think the stock.header is gonna be restrictive
Anyone got any recommendations?

I would enquire with our sponsors regarding brands like Spark, Sil Moto, Arrow, etc. That would be my first attempt.

I dont know if Termignoni made one, but if they did maybe a dealer might be able to track down NOS?

Directly contacting Staintune in Australia might be worth a try too. Although an older model pipe they have all the jugs and may build on request.
