Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me here-

I have my Monster 696 engine on a bench and am repairing some bits. I will need to set the timing once I'm done with the repairs, for which I will need to turn the crankshaft, but when I removed the engine the bike was in first gear, not neutral. So, my question is- how do I get the engine in neutral on the bench?

Thank you.

Move gear shaft w pedal or pliers upwards until in neutral. Easy job.
