whats with the bacon?

Ironically I just had bacon and cheese quesodilla's for dinner.  Mmmmmmmm... BTW speaking of bacon doing everything.... I had lived among those that would call themselves rednecks. One of them whom I shall call "M" for this telling. Was the quintesential redneck mechanic. M's car developed a nasty knock in the bottom end of the engine. So we go out on a Saturday afternoon and procede to pull the oil pan off the car. After he located the offending bearing he disconnected the rod end and then to my bewilderment asks me to go into his house and grab an uncooked slice of bacon from his fridge. He then wraps it around the crankshaft and reassembles the bottom end while I continue to scratch my head and spread grease in my consternation. After all is said and done he hops in the car and starts it up, guess what? No engine knock. That's right he fixed his car with bacon.  People I ask you is there anything bacon can't do?

so what you're saying is that bacon is comparable to ductape..except..it can also be eaten?!
