a) make sure you get a piece of finger bling that you will be happy with in 50 years

b) if you work with your hands, around fast moving machines, consider if you want to wear a ring at all. i remember some very gruesome pics from my EMT classes, showing evulsed fingers..........yuck. i dont care if it is only a few per year. one of em might me yours
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Read my post again dear. I didn't say anything about the ER's ability to cut a Ti ring. I just said its good to know the facts.

Again sac, I said nothing about the ability to cut off a Ti ring. It was simply a comment about how often I saw it in the ER.

No need to reread it, my memory hasn't failed me yet. You said it was good to know "the facts about a ring" but you didn't give any. So I found some. Mother took issue with their accuracy so I found more sources. Do I have this right so far? Am I missing anything? Did I contradict you in some way that I didn't realize, dear?

+1  Most of the guys I worked with back when I made furniture never wore their rings in the shop (regardless of the metal  [roll] ). I take mine off when I'm working on the house, even if I'm just hammering nails.

SKOM..check out these titanium rings.  The bevel edge, sandblast, white gold/titanium combo and grooved rings are pretty cool!  LOTS of ideas on here!!

My wife and I got new rings for our 10th anniversary.  I think we'll make that a tradition for every decade.

I had a gold & diamond ring for our wedding and now I have a white gold & diamond.  The s/o went from gold to white gold as well.

Isnt tungsten heavier than hell though?  Guess you could use it for a fishing weight too!
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

It is really heavy

surprisingly so when you pick up a ring

but the durability is what would be important to me

If EVERY make the beast with two backsING TIME you told some one what your ring is made out of you had to hear some retard give you the "they're gonna have to cut your finger off" speech you'd be touchy too. I take my vote back, DO NOT get a Ti ring. If you do you'll have to stop talking to morons who believe every last damn scare story 20/20 has ever puked out. (ZOMG my keyboard has gerrrrrrrrrrrms, ahhhh!)

 [laugh] I love the DMF.

I was looking at the tungsten. Think I might go with a dark W or Ti ring with a bit of Au thrown in. Not to worry about working around machinery. I do work occasionally with drill rigs but I am usually standing away from them. I have the hands of a new born baby. I am not proud of that.  :-[

I like this one:

Are you looking for something plain? A pattern? A stone?

If Liberace saw my brother-in-law's ring he would say its gaudy. Must be 6 carrats of diamonds in the ugly pile. To each their own.
