I'm trying to pit some order here and avoid confusion (ill probably end up having the opposite result)



DuCaTini has brought this to our attention a few days ago:




On Sunday 21 september the MOB, the Monster Owners Belgium (Ducati Owners Club) wants to aim for a new world record: they want to bring together the largest number of Ducati Monsters and set the new world record in their name.

At present the only record of this type in the Guiness Book of World Records for one type of one brand has been put down by Yamaha with the TDM (206 bikes).

The benefits of this day will go to the organisation called “Zebra”. Zebra, is a non-profit organisation helping children that are involved in traffic accidents, eigther having been injured in the accident or having lost a loved one.

...the plan is to see what these guys come up with and then BEAT THEM! 

How do we do this?

Well, we need support form local and national comunities, organizations and if we can raise funds for a good cause, even better!

Here is the "plan"

there is verry little basic planning here...

1) location = somewhere between LA and SF
2) date = sometime next summer
3) get a charity involved = Riders for Health(i hope)
4) find sponsors
5) beat the record!

i know... i'm an east coaster...

but logistically... CA makes the most sense.
if we're seriously going to attempt a world breaking record, those of us on the east coast have to get over the fact that the west coast is a better locale... they have more monsters.
i'm cool with it. 

i plan on borrowing a monster from someone in CA that won't be attending.

if we're seriously going to attempt a world breaking record, those of us on the east coast have to get over the fact that the west coast is a better locale... they have more monsters.
i'm cool with it. 

i plan on borrowing a monster from someone in CA that won't be attending. 

I have more monsters drive past me in a day than some of the states in the US have in them. If it's a serious attempt, here is better.

We've pretty much decided on West Coast/Cali due to the number of Monsters in the area.

So on the promotion front I'm thinking there would have to be posters in every Duc shop in the country, bombing of all the Duc blogs, sky writers, etc.

On the incentive front there would need to be other reasons to go:

A concert or other entertainment (strip tease by DantheMan maybe)
Raffles?
Awards (furthest to ride in, coolest Bike, loudest Bike, etc.)
Bulk rates at near by hotels and camp grounds.
Free monsters to anyone named Carl

...at this point all options are opened. Tag along with LagunaGP or any other motorcycle event, totaly separate event, track, parkinglot, joels back yard  

i think that much of this depends on how much we get supporters/sponsors involved

of course to get the MOST MONSTERS out there, it will have to be a FREE event...maybe just a small fee for the charity...

there are PLENTY of tracks between LA and SF so that is definitly an option
