exhaust alternatives
«
on:

Over at TOB there was an extensive discussion on alternatives to Termi's etc.
One of the options was a short pipe called something like "Heldman."
I'm leaning towards putting these on in place of my Termi slip ons.
Was curious if any of you remember that exhaust or the link to that site.
thanks

I don't remember the Heldman's, but I'm still looking at the GPR hi mounts. I think they were at On-cycles.

You mean headman? I got a pair of headman headers (they cheap) and tried to custom fab something up......well the first attempt ever resulted in less than quality results.....fortunately i started on the cheap parts before working up to anything i could really screw up. Will try again though.....i might even post pics if i come up with something i'm not ashamed of

9 inches long and 2.5 in. dia.
I'm guessing those things would be a little on the loud side. :leo:

Not so much if you add baffles to the mix. Here is a video of mine:
They actually sound alot like the the QuatD Exbox but without the tinny sound.
If you want I can do another video with a close up and better sound.

Please do wt:
This is interesting! I have seen your video before, but now I'm thinking of a S2R1000 and would like to open up the rear wheel view.
Bladder still on? Open air box? New ECU? PC3, remapping? Adjusting air/fuel?

Yeah, thats my bike when I was still in the development stage. They weren't really even mounted properly at that point. If you look really close you can see the top one moving around. ;:|
I have since mounted them properly and painted them black.

No bladder.
QuatD header, stock airbox (although I have a semi-open one I'm not using at the moment), stock ECU, and "manually" (top secret
) adjusted air fuel.
