Me, me me!!!
But I can't.
Picking up my steering bearing Saturday. Gotta figure out how to prop Lili up and do everything between now and then.
Let me know what you need... I might have an extra stand... oh wait... nevermind... your bike isn't spooled... hmm..
Front end has to come off . . .
Need to support it from the motor with jack stands . . .

Yes Neikos, if you remove the engine mount bolt (frame slider location) and drive a nice sturdy long steel bar all the way thru, the bar can then rest on jack stands on either side of your Lili.
It works real slick. I've done it that way before [thumbsup]
I have stands and stuff if you need anything.

Why? Do you have a weekly limit? ;D
Why yes.. and one most not go over the alloted mileage. No actually my bike just beats me to death on long rides. Shoulders are still burning from yesterday's ride. But with enough Tylenol Extra Strength coursing through my blood I'm good for a few more of the 'alloted' miles. :)
Anybody interested in a ride for next weekend if weather permits?
Maybe all meet in wilsonville and head out from there?

Hey Sabrina - The upright posture on the monsters shouldn't do that. I'll bet you are giving your 2R the ol' wrestlemania death grip.
The trick is, I think, to relax and zen your way along. I believe I had the same aches and pains when I first started riding mine. I'm betting those aches and pains'll go away eventually once you get familiarized with your machine.
Today was such a great day I'm optimistic about everything :).
I know, to think I got a Monster to get AWAY from the CBR fetal position riding style. [roll] Wasn't as bad today while riding.. I also think the additional winter gear I've been wearing creates so much resistance, that it adds to the typical wear and tear of just riding the bike.

There is a group from the North that is making a trip to Pacific City.
Here is their plan:
8:30 AM : meet up at Triumph of Tacoma, aka Lakewood Motosports. Vena has
kindly volunteered to come early and open up for us. Directions to Triumph of
Tacoma, 12007 Pacific Highway SW, Lakewood, Wa 98499 from South bound I-5:
Take the Bridgeport Exit - Exit 125 (It is the next exit heading south afer the
512 Puyallup exit) head west and turn left at the first light (Pacific Highway
SW). T of T is the second building on the left.
9:00 AM: depart Triumph of Tacoma. Slab down I-5 to Kelso/Longview, where we
will gas up before entering the Nanny State.
11:00 AM: brunch at Humps Restaurant in Clatskanie, OR.
Noon: depart Humps via Hwy. 47.
Those who do not want to slab I-5 to Longview are free to take their own route
to Clatskanie and meet us at Humps for brunch. Humps is in "downtown"
Clatskanie on the north side of US 30. You can't miss it.
Cap'n Parrotdead, Ducati Don, and any PDX riders: you can meet up with us at
Humps for brunch.
Bill Anderson & Mao Tse Duc (04-ST4s, red) Edmonds, WA.
They are staying at the motel across the street from me, but if any of you want to join in on the ride, I have rooms open here this weekend.

Fun ride today, fellas. A little chaos ensued at the end, sorry about that Victor.
I was mistakenly trying to catch up with you - I must have passed you and not seen you. That damn sticky throttle on the Rs again.
Ryan and I returned via 47 thru Yamhill, Gaston, then back up Baldy and home thru the west 'burbs.
Other than my face and forehead being roasted red from the sun, all was great. An hour on the roof at the McMenamins Hotel in McMinnville and I look like a lobster from the neck up.
We will ride again.
Very nice ride. Had a lot of fun. Lets do it again soon. [thumbsup]
Thanks again Ryan!

Chuck,
Dang it. I'm a couple of days off your schedule. Would love to work that into the trip somehow.
I'm taking 2 vaca days on Thurs and Fri 5/14, 5/15. My work bud Eric and I are headed for John Day.
Day 1. Thurs 5/14: Pdx to Woodland, WA. Woodland-Cougar. Cougar-Stevenson. Stevenson-Maupin.
Day 2. Friday 5/15: Maupin-Fossil-Painted Hills-John Day.
Day 3. Satur 5/16: John Day, Maupin, back to Pdx.
Oh, yeah. Forgot this portion of the trip: Sunday 5/17: John's house to chiropractor. ;D
BTW, does this make my butt look big?

Chuck / Ryan -
You two are tempting me to extend my 800 mile weekend up and over 1000 [moto]. I would need to spend another night out on the road, but I am up for it. I need to see Marvel and rub his shiny head for good luck.
Maybe I'll stay in Sisters - always liked that little rinky-dink town. I have to get home on Sunday at some point and fetch my pooches from the kennel. I'll have to check to see how late they are open.
I propose we discuss this over beers soon. Name the time and sleazy bar and I will buy the first round.

I gots a cabin in Black Butte.... if they only allowed motorcycles there... it would be cool... but they do not.
Yah, what up with that! I was pissed the time I went there. . .
We could park em at that nice little prissy gate and walk to the cabin. SHOW some defiance! [laugh]
It is like 4-5 miles from the prissy little gate.

OH, and you're a "home" owner to the HOAs and get that little rule changed.

They have horses on the roads and they say that "back in the day" the motorcycles would spook the horses and ruin their peaceful serene resort community.
Anybody want to show me some roads out here east of the city this afternoon?

To which I would reply "Then quit trying to trail ride with a thoroughbred. Sell it to Purina and get a horse with half a brain." What a disgusting rule. My pickup is louder than my bike, would it be banned, too?

I went down to Oregon City, out Redland Rd to Estacada, west on Hwy 224 to Hwy 211, north to Sandy, down Ten Eyck Rd to Marmot Rd, all the way east on Marmot and Barlow Trail to E Lolo Pass Rd. Turned around and came back to Sandy, stopped at a friend's house to stretch my legs for a bit, then back in 26-212-Sunnyside to Clackamas. 101 miles total, according to the bike's odometer. Left at 12607, came back at 12708. And what a perfect day for a ride! The weather could not have been better. :)
A couple pics from along Marmot Rd... this stretch of road had a stunning view of the valley ahead (click for full size):

I rode Marmot and Ten Eyck as well today, along with some other roads northeast of PDX.

The roads were pretty clean though there were a couple of areas with gravel and road debris.

Oh cool... were you out in the morning? I didn't see any fellow Ducatisti on Saturday, which kinda surprised me considering the perfect weather and distance traveled.
Ditto your experience on the roads... most were fine, but there were a couple hair-raising corners with gravel in the middle of the lane.
I was also having a minor issue with the bike missing downshifts... I was finding false neutrals when downshifting between 4th and 3rd, and sometimes between 3rd and 2nd. Makes for interesting cornering when ya downshift, let out the clutch, and realise a half-second later that you're coasting! :o Especially goin' into some of those really gnarly downhill 15mph corners on Marmot. Blech... those aren't fun.

Yes, we were there in the morning. The group I ran with left from the airport around 10 and was eating lunch in Welches around noon. I didn't feel like going all the way back into town, then heading back home to Welches so I just went home. The rest of them took the same Marmot-Ten Eyck route back into Portland.

Road Trip 101
It is a long damn way from Portland to John Day (especially on a monster).
250 miles yesterday.
280 miles today.
Some lessons learned:
1. Cow poop is slippery.
2. Gravel is slippery.
3. At a certain velocity, aerodynamic pressure will overwhelm the spring-loaded detents on the CRG Lane Splitter mirrors and cause them to fold back. (ahem - no actual numbers will be posted here on the Interwebz). ;D
4. At or very near the same velocity mentioned above, the rain-shield cover of a Coretech tail bag will also detach and blow away, but may retrieved by your buddy riding behind you in the slower non-Ducati bike and returned at the next stop, for which one is ever grateful.
That is all.

When is someone going to post up a group ride? I am starting to think you are all a bunch of nancy's who post all day at work and don't ride. Someone prove me wrong before i completely jump ship to another forum.
So you can post to pregnant dog about no one posting a ride but you can't post your own?

its hard to make sun tea in oregon..... :-[
I knew this place would fall apart without me, like a cheap house of cards its crumbling down. I setup most of the group rides, without me cattle prodding you to get together nothing is happening. Comon you guys get out there and ride with each other, represent the NW ducs! :P
While I do feel like our group doesn't ride together anymore (or really get together much at all), I also feel that if you want a group ride, don't pregnant dog, just plan one and post up. Also, come to what few meetups we have and meet some people.
With that being said, next weekend The Plumber and Mouse will be around so who'd like to go riding with us? No confirmed time, date, or route yet but I should be getting all that together over the week.

What are you talking about? I know i went for a ride today. As long as it doesn't rain its good riding weather.
Cougar run, sunday? I've never been.
Weather looks iffy, showers and 71. I'm up for it though.

No confirmed time, date, or route yet but I should be getting all that together over the week.
its still up in the air about our bikes, im hoping we can make it happen :-\
if so i will ride everyday, weather premitting i guess [laugh]
as long as it twisties roads all the way the better, my middle is just about flat, and brand new rubber on the sides [laugh]
its cause i bought the bike at the end of the season and we had decent snow this winter so no twistes for awhile, but im trying to fix that :P

I kinda like butt ass early rides. I am a morning person so the time doesn't bother me. I like mornings because there is less traffic and you can get some lunch at actual lunch time.
Can I get a clarification here... what is "Butt ass early" ... and why is it called "Butt ass".... I have an ass, and it doesn't do anything earlier or later than the rest of me. In fact, my ass is pretty late to the game... when I eat something... my ass knows about it last.
When you get my size your ass is in another time zone.
If you're facing West it's at least an hour ahead of you [laugh]

Unfortunately (or fortunately... depends on one's perspective) I just started a new job. Trying to make a good initial impression... plus, we're going straight into a gnarly project schedule. Oh yeah, and they gave me fair warning before I accepted the job: there is no frying pan, this is straight into the fire.
Good? I've been blessed with gainful employment after the tanking of the bizjet market. [thumbsup] It's a pretty fricken cool job with some great people, to boot.
Bad? I'm not able to get out for midweek rides right now. :'(

Great ride guys!!! Never let Mo ride clean up. I was watching from right behind him... every corner... he sneaks his nose into the inside... dips in... slides out... then takes the pass.... this guy has racer in his blood... I don't think he can see an opening on a corner and not snake the pass. It look so smooth too.... Jess looks back to the left... as Mo passes on the right... she never even saw him... and he is gone....
We had a great time guys.

Julie and I did the Estacada to Detroit Lake (out and back) ride on Friday... we had the whole road to ourselves as we started at 9 am... Weird, it popped up as the latest post. Shoulda looked closer at the date.
And yes, I am disliked by many members here (including several moderators). One person was happy about the fact that I was thrown from a horse, basically said I deserved it for an opinion I had.
But I'm glad some of you PNW guys like me. [thumbsup]

Speedymoto was out of the 46mm sockets - they're making a new batch this week but they don't get back from heat treatment until tomorrow. But, thanks to the Snap-On tool truck that comes to my work every Weds morning, I gots me the Snap-On 46 mm socket-to-me.

Highway 53 from Nehalem to 26 is the way to go. Real curvy bits are more fun going uphill, IMHO.
Well I sold the SV650 and I'm picking up my first monster tomorrow (s2r). My boss and I are going to probably going to go ride for a while this weekend (new bike and all). He'll take his s2r 1000 and I'll take mine. Anyone want to go? I haven't been on a bike since I sold the SV about 4 months ago so I might be a little rusty but I'm sure I'm not going to get off it for the next few months. Just throwing it out there.
Would love to... but a couple of us race... will be at PIR all weekend... stop by and look for the baby blue SV's... we race em. ;D

Ok I'm sure I'm cutting it a bit late, but how long is this cougar run? I'd like to join in I just don't really have the right gear for rain if it hits.

WHat about saturday?
Faaahhhhdge. I'm gonna be camping outside of Estacada that Saturday. I'd use the banghead emoticon... except camping is great, and I don't regret it in the least. ;D I may even find time to go visit a ladyfriend in Sandy. ;)
It's killin' me that I ride past the Wind River Hwy at least once a week, and I haven't managed to go on a Cougar Run this year. C'est la Vie.
Oh yeah... and I'll be renting a view house in Stevenson for the next year. Can't settle on buying right now, with work trying to decide where to put the engineers. Too much uncertainty. Soooo.... I'm gonna wait. I'll use the time to get my financial situation even better, and in the meantime enjoy a killer view from a deck looking over Stevenson, the river, and Bridge of the Gods. ;) That, and with my primo location, I will HAVE to go on a Cougar Run next season.
Still didn't do the Cougar run. :'(
But I did go along on a ride out Pittsburg-Vernonia Rd to Hwy 47 to Clatskinie and back the same way. [thumbsup]
It was a group I met at MotoCorsa; a Tricolore S4Rs, 2 Hypermotards, a guy and his wife two-up on a 998.
The best part is that the really crappy section of Pittsburg-Vernonia Rd has been repaved. [clap] Now its the best part of that route. [evil]
I started 9:30ish and went two up to Maryhill WA to see the Stonehenge out there... awesome views... very cool.
I took my lady friend from Sandy for her first streetbike ride on Saturday. She loved it, wants to go faster next time. [evil] Now she's wanting to go for a ride on her b-day this weekend.
Life is good. [thumbsup]
We'll see where this goes... but I may need a 2-up bike sooner rather than later.
Ride this Sunday 9/27, let's try out the new pavement on Pittsburg - Vernonia Rd. Meet at MotoCorsa at 9:00 AM.
oh, yeah. New pavement. woo-hoo!
The weather looks good for this weekend. [thumbsup]
Ride! Ride! Ride! [moto]
Who knows when the rain will come. ???
Meet at MotoCorsa, this Saturday, 10/10 @ 11:00 AM. 8)
Spiffy idea. See you there.
Here's a suggestion: how about we turn eastward for this ride? I was thinking Crown Point, Bull Run, Sandy, Estercada, etc.
Just thrownin' out some ideas.
J
I wanna go... but looks like I will be in the air... somewhere over the midwest at this point. [bang] At least I will be headed back West.
I'd love to ride this weekend, but my parents and I will be moving our stuff out of my storage unit (yes, "our" stuff... they've been using the extra space to store acquisitions from my dad's parents' estate).
So for riding, I'll have to be content with my commute to work... which is now SR14 between Stevenson and Bingen, WA. [moto] It was a bit brisk, but otherwise, a gorgeous sunny morning. Can't wait for the ride home. Think I'll take the scenic route up Cook-Underwood Rd on the way home... stop at the viewpoint on Underwood Mtn and enjoy the sunset-lit view of Hood River, Bingen, and the Gorge. ;D
Hey Dan... you know Maryhill is just 40 miles from Bingen... that is where the Stonehenge is at... you been there yet? I can't recall. It is a pretty cool thing too.
Oh, you Sally's, you shoulda been there! ;D
Victor and I had a fun ride today (thanks, Vic). It was nice and cool, leaves changing colors, light traffic.
The wilds of Estacada and Moolala were scenic.
Hope we can squeeze in another ride or two before the weather turns . . . [thumbsup]
A sunny saturday in October, what a great time to ride. [moto]
Good route John. [thumbsup]

Yeah... there's a ton of wineries around here. One of my fellow Systems Engineers here at Insitu also runs a vineyard with her hubby, up on Underwood Mtn. Anywayz, no, haven't been to Maryhill or the Stonehenge replica... actually didn't realise they were there (or that Maryhill hosts summer concerts at their amphitheatre). Now that I know... I think I have a ride destination. Maybe I'll take my lovely ladyfriend out that way next year. That'd be a beautiful ride out SR14.

Chuck and I went for a ride yesterday (Sunday). [moto]
What a great day. Thanks for the invite, Chuck. A little chilly, but a great day to ride.
We did the Bull Run Run. Saw a fair number of bikes out including a spiffy '95 SS and S2R1K in Sandy.
Dare I say, the svelte, manly Chuck astride his trusty Lily was a vision to behold, reminiscent of Rossi at Laguna. ;D
Chuck, you rock. [thumbsup]

Is that weird UPS guy still drivin' by your house in the afternoon? ;D
Viktor... what time you riding? I got me something that needs to stretch her legs... I just NEED to be back in town at 12.
Sorry, I won't be able to break in your new 999 for you. 8) I've got stuff to do before noon. Have fun at Laserport. [thumbsup]
I was thinking of riding over to Scott's to drop off his tools and then up to Cheshire to pick up a master link JIC.
Thinking of leaving here around 9:30-10AM. Should be back by noon if you can keep up on that 999. [laugh]
Give me a call if you wanna tag along.
You are an early one... hitting the gym now... will call you when I am done.
Anyone up to taking a ride on saturday?
YES! Now I'll have to find out if I can.
I might be on call in which case I won't be able to.
I'm thinking of taking a ride to the coast this weekend and wondering if anyone could let me know what the roads look like Hwy 26, Hwy 18, hwy 6, or Hwy 20...Trying to figure out if it is worth the trouble or if i should just stay around town
Anybody riding on sunday? Supposed to be nice.
I'm down for a ride tomorrow.
I'm toying with doing a valve check tomorrow . . . what's your plan Stan? I might be talked into changing my mind.
Supposed to be really nice... we gotta find a fun twisty and run it.... somebody pick a route and a time and lets go.
Meet at MotoCorsa at 11:00AM, we'll do Scapoose - Vernonia RD.
Back by 2?
I second that motion. Back by 2.
OK. [moto]
So how did the ride go?
You know that proper etiquette requires that you post-up after the ride.
I'm out of the picture for just a little while and all group decorum just goes to hell. Tsk tsk. ;D

Ryan almost got killed by a Camry. Lili's spitting brake fluid. Everything in between was [thumbsup]
My little romp through traffic on the way home to get back by 2 to take the boy to Cub Scouts was almost as enjoyable. I've never done the whole weaving in and out of traffic to maintain pace before. [moto]

Gotta watch out for those Camry's.
Was Ryan aboard the 999?
Paging Ryan, Ryan Dalling . . . . please pick up the white courtesy phone.
Yep, the 999.
Which BTW Ryan . . . your exhaust smells funny . . .
Exhaust is supposed to smell funny... so you wont want to suck it in.... anyhow... the Camry just thought he could drift into my lane during a corner... not really life and death... just and little pucker in the cheeks... however... a red camaro followed me home and pulled into my driveway with me... interesting story... will share later...
Oh yes. Do tell!
I posted it in ramblings.... cause I rambled.
Did someone say "Ride"?
Just say when and where...
How's about 11 start at my place.
We'll head down to Newburg, 210/219 over the mountain to Hillsboro, round-about rte to Rock Creek for lunch/snacks, Germantown Rd to 30, 30 to PDX and back however we come back?
Sounds good to me.
Cool. We should be done with the Space Derby construction by then and I'll be needing a ride!
A drink too but a ride for now!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . much better! [moto]
Good to meet you Brian (Bryan?). Next time you're coming over this way give us a yell. Sounds like you know the local roads better than Ryan and I do. [laugh]
Nice meeting you Chuck and nice to see you again Ryan. Now that the weather's warming up I will be heading that way more often. Hope to join you guys for a ride or two this summer.
Brian
My god man... the ride today was insane....
Scappoose to vernonia... then apiary over and back via old 47... that 47 past apiary... crikeys... reducing radius 25 mile an hour corners with elevation and camber changes... woo hoo... makes you clench up a bit... awesome road... then lunch back in Vernonia... and home... I rode with some BMW guys from Intel... scary thing... this dude on that BMW touring bike... GS1200??... he corners like a bat out of hell... and never gets off his seat.... taking these three linked 25 mph corners, off camber, with gravel at the apex...like he is on a Sunday stroll just swerving back and forth... dude rocks that bike... anyhow... came away with some respect for some of them bikes.... a lot of cops out today on 26 and 217 though.....
I know a guy with a Suzuki Bandit 1200 and rides it like that. He raced in OMRRA back in the 80's. Amazing rider to follow. You can feel like you're going way too fast, but just follow his line/speed/movements and the corner is executed perfectly. I've learned a lot about how the bike should feel in high-speed corners just by following him a couple times.
In other news... Did a bit of riding with Erica this weekend. I think we racked up around 100 miles of 2-up riding. She's doing great, especially considering how new she is to it. Holds on snugly, keeps her torso in line with mine, doesn't upset the bike at all. Oh yeah, we were a LOT more comfortable on my Supersport than we had been on the CBR. It fits us so much better. Granted, we're both tall and it's a smallish bike, so we dwarf it... but it was still great. The bike felt nicely planted on the curvy bits of Clackamas River Drive, too. Wish I could afford a Multi, but this little 900SS is doing a great job in the meantime. [thumbsup]
So yeah... my beautiful wife is hooked on motorcycling. ;D She was bummed when she had to drive her car back to Stevenson while I rode. I think we'll have many enjoyable weekends together on the motorcycle this summer. [moto]
Anybody else hear the sun calling their name???
there is a lot of road construction going on out there... but still good riding if you can get beyond it.
My freaking weekend is packed. Waste of a damn good weekend! [moto]

If you buy a second bike neither one has to be good for 2 up :) Seriously, ask her if she wants to take the Team Oregon course. My wife took MSF back in California. Sadly, I sold all my bikes and was bikeless for a few years after so she hasn't ridden since the course. The Monster scares her so she hasn't wanted to ride it. I'm fine with that, not the best bike for a short beginner. Regardless, she said the class was loads of fun and it made her much more comfortable as a passenger since she knew more about riding and understood more about what I was doing as the driver.

I SOOOOOO want a new/second bike . . . :'(

When I am done with Julie's... bring her by... the 620 with a shaved seat and lowered... seems really sweet for a short rider.
Yeah, I've offered the MSF/Team Oregon class to Erica. I'll keep suggesting it whenever she mentions riding. I think we'll get there eventually. Whether she then wants to ride her own bike is entirely up to her... doesn't faze me in the least. Just means I need to plan accordingly and have the right bike for the job. Riding is a lot of fun either one-up or two-up, and honestly, I think I'm more like my dad... into the longer-distance touring. I like the idea of being out all day, or even half the day. [moto] My brothers... not so much. (*shrugs*) Erica? I think she just needs a more comfortable seat, and she'd be fine with touring.

Still expecting pissing weather out there? I may be able to swing it.. just not sure how long it would take me to get out to your BFE starting point.
That'd be an awesome ride. [thumbsup] I'd join, but Erica and I will be on our way to the airport at 11am. We have something like 19-20 hours of flying time ahead of us... thank God for a generous father-in-law who paid for us to fly Business class.
Oh hey, y'all are just gonna blast down I-84 from the end of the old highway out to Hood River, right? SR-14, while it's a nicer ride most of the time, is closed for 2-hour intervals during the day between Stevenson and White Salmon for the "rockfall mitigation" work they're doing. I'd hate to see you get stuck in that mess.
Have fun and ride safe! I'll wave if I see y'all on I-84.

Dangit... I'm gonna be replacing the chain on mine on Saturday (and other prep work for selling it and the GTI). [bang] With missing O-rings and a lot of recent stretching, I'm uncertain enough of its condition that I'd rather not ride it 'til I've replaced the chain.

Try wearing a 4 layer Nomex suit, long underwear, gloves, helmet with head sock, then drive a sedan with one window open for 2 hours pulling nearly a g in every corner. Mostly it's 130 degrees in the car.
But then again, I'd never race a motorcycle!

Wherever we go, maybe we could end at Kennedy School and pop into the soaking tub to warm up?

Does it bother anyone else that the name of this thread is schemed differently than our other stickied & bold thread? The uppercase 'RIDES' and errant period are kind of off-putting. Makes me not wanna participate in any rides, because they might involve yelling, and end both fiercely and abruptly.

When I ride with my wife, I have to turn off the Monster at every stop sign. I wait till she gets rolling and refire. She can't hear her scooter to know the revs to declutch and get going. This, of course, after many times I've left her stalled in traffic. [evil]

I don't know about that one, I've done that one and it was a good 8 hour ride. Definitly worth it but I ain't got the time.
Google says 6 hours round trip. Throw on an hour for lunch and 15 minutes for a gas stop ...
You forget, my tank is smaller than my bladder. We may need to gas stops.
Oh yah ... I was thinking my range not yours ... or others with 90ish mile range.
Plus I may have to let you lead... I think I would get us lost... plus I lost my riding skills somewhere... I think i am total sally now.
If all goes as foretold by prophecy we'll have a leader who won't get us lost.
Me leading is a lost guarantee ... although the route looks ridiculously simple.
26 to 47 to 411 to 504 get the end and turn around ...
Since when does the board have spell check? :o
While we're waiting for the report on the ride you got going, I'll just mention that I had an awesome ride on CRR yesterday, to Detroit, then back in the Valley (214/213). And I ran into DanTheMan at the Estacada Shell, what are the chances? Sweet ride he's got!
Crikeys that was a great ride... but I am tired... 300 miles for the first time this year... oye.
Sorry I missed that one. I could use a 300 mile day. The wife and little guy are going to visit family in Cali in early August, gonna take me a looooong rid while they're gone, maybe ride down to meet them and then back. It was a really nice 4 day ride last time.

It was a bit cold & windy up on Bald PEak, but otherwise a good ride.
I didn't even notice the cold until we stopped. I did notice the gravel that was making my tail wag though. Good ride and so much warmer than last year. Maybe next year someone else will come with us :)

Got my ride in. About an hour on my normal "secret route." Oh, and a passenger too.
Last year was my lowest mile year on Lili in ten years.
I've averaged 4,000 a year.
This year I need to ride 4-5K miles.

Now that I'm not on a Monster, I could Iron Butt, no problemo. [Dolph]

Did the Cougar run with a bunch of guys from Ducati Pacifica. [thumbsup]
Ducati Don isn't the president anymore, Turbo is.
At the viewpoint a Black/gold Sport Classic fell in with us, it was Adrianne, she used to work at MotoCorsa. [Dolph]
It was a great day for a ride.
I don't remember an Adrienne ...
What dept? What's she look like? Time frame?
Details man, details.
She worked there for 2 years, 2007 to 2009. She did the chalk picture of Pual Smart on the cafe blackboard.
Anybody up for a ride this Saturday?
I'm ditching work Monday to go do a loop to Vernonia with some friends if you want to come.
Is the Ryka running yet?
Scott

Meet at the Cup & Saucer on Hawthorne @ 10am, 7/16
So the other guys were out sick but Victor and I had a nice breakfast and a really nice ride. All in all, a good day :)

Anyone up for a trip up to Mt St Helens on monday or tuesday?
I'm going to this https://www.facebook.com/events/387351231334185/ (https://www.facebook.com/events/387351231334185/) at MotoCorsa then out for a ride. No idea where yet.
Find me if you want to go ...
I'm the short, fat, bald guy with a yellow Monster for those of you who don't remember ;D
How about a ride this sunday, 10/7? I was out the last two sundays and it was great. Who knows how long the good weather will last. [Dolph]
I might be your huckleberry.
Me 2.
I'll be having b-fast at Cup & Saucer (http://cupandsaucercafe.com/) on Hawthorne at 9:00am. We could meet there or some where else.
I may show... maybe even on a URAL... lol
I AM your huckleberry. Just need a time and a place.
See my previous post
Well yah, but you said "... or somewhere else." so I was just saying that I needed a final decision on the where.
Oh. Hey. Mind if I invite some other peeps?
Well, no one else offered any sugestions, besides I love bacon [bacon], and C & S has yummy bacon [bacon]. Sure invite others along, but I aint buyin' em breakfast. ;D
A good day for a ride, even if there was some off road action. ;D
All wheels stayed in the proper relationship to the ground. [thumbsup]
Thanks for a great ride. Couldn't have been much more perfect.

Offroad is okay, as long as all remained shiny side up. Been there, done that.
Everybody okay, I presume?
Everything was ok except for Chuck's shorts. [laugh]
Had to have those puppies surgically removed from my throat later that day.
Limped for 3 days due to jamming my knee while kicking Lili back up from her sudden horizontal inclinations ...
Otherwise all was/is right in the world.
It's that time of year again. Time for the New Years Day freeze yer balls off ride.
[Dolph]
Meet at Noon, Jan 1st at MotoCorsa. I'll be riding the Smeshnoy Krolik, bring your finest single ya got, twins are ok too. [thumbsup]
If there's no ice I'm there! Oh, and for those considering it, we usually take a short ride in the west hills followed by an extended coffee/hot chocolate session at Blue Moon. I think we made it about 8 minutes the first year before neither of us could feel our hands. Last year was maybe 40 minutes or so, much "warmer" relatively speaking.
C'mon peeps! Join us!
Scott
Ugh! I punked out after spending the last three days in bed with the flu. Shame, it's such a beautiful day. Did anyone else make it? Sorry Victor, I was really looking forward to seeing your new ride.
Scott
John & Jessica showed up on his new Multi. We rode out to Sauvie Island, about halfway around the island I couldn't feel my thumbs anymore. :-\ We made it back to the Blue Moon and sat by the fireplace to warm up. ;D The usual traditional ride. [Dolph] [thumbsup]
Glad it wasn't a wash just because I missed it. I was really sorry not to be there and I still want to see your new ride. I was showing pics to the techs at the Vespa shop, they were impressed.
Scott
Did anyone else take advantage of the relatively nice weather today and get out for a ride? [Dolph]
Remember, cold, under inflated tires and a heavy throttle hand do not mix. :o
Sooooo wanted to but was already booked with other things. I did manage to ride to work one day that was nice recently.
Scott
Anybody get out on the road last weekend?
I rode to work once. I kinda almost need it to rain, or I'll never get to finishing my winter projects. If there's a good day in the next week I don't want to miss the chance because the bike is in pieces.
Scott
Flying 15 2013 Spring Opener, Meet at Kelly's Olympian, sunday, March 24th, 9am registration, 10am ride starts. $10 donation.
I might be there on the Smeshnoy Krolik. [Dolph]
It was a good day for a ride. [Dolph]
Anybody been out on any good rides lately? [Dolph]
I did an 11 hour ride the 3rd that I enjoyed thoroughly ...
So ... Sunday. Coastish ride to Pacific City to hang with BNBMike and a little scooting with him and then back ...
Who's in?
Unfortunately I have to clean out the furnace room. We're having the kitchen redone, and the plumbers are coming on Monday to switch out the water heater for a tankless
So ... that's it then ...
Remember the days when we actually rode, let alone hung out ...
<sigh>
Yeah. Sorry. That's one thing that sucks about living on the other side of the mountains. Beautiful country and great roads, but far away from the group.
Anybody up for a New Years Day ride? New Years Eve?
Took the old Duc out for a fair weather hot lap today [Dolph]
Shoot! Couldn't figure out how to post a pic of it. Been awhile.
Anyway, where's Mother at? I want my 2 dollars! :)
Anyone here want to plan an end of the year ride? A shorty.
I'd be up for an end of the year ride or new years ride. [Dolph]
