Mine's definitely the Showa, so I guess it's either from a 749s or a 999.

I've actually redone the plate since that last photo, as a test fit of the shock (I'm yet to get it resprung, so it came right back out again) had the gas reservoir just a few millimetres away from the coil HT lead.  There's plenty of length in both coil leads, so I moved it back about another 12mm.  Now there's oodles of clearance.

ISTR you were running a Showa shock that looked the same.  Is that from a 999?  What spring are you using?  Did you have to revalve, or was the stock valving okay?

Just saw your post, sorry for being late. if you already installed teh shock, youll notice how light the spring is. So not suitable for the monster. ih ave a 1091-31 (150lbs w/o gear). without revalving, it works pretty decently, smoother then the stock by far. Im not sure how much better it is with a revalving. and honestly, i rather not. Reason? You can get a used ohlins on ebay for about $500. The revalving would be half that price. Not worth it IMHO.
