eh, i don't think i'm going to go with that one

it would be nice to have perfectly matching colors - but unfortunately i think that basket will just look.... wrong

Agreed. The rest of the bike looks great, the last thing you need is a gaudy basket making it look cheesy.

Baskets can be painted, fyi. Perhaps white, with green pinstriping.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
