I certainly will post pics.
Question: Anyone live near Nashville? I have lived in Colorado almost all of my life, but my wife and I are taking the plunge in a couple of weeks and moving to Nashville. I hope to see lots of Ducs.

Hey monsterman
Did you buy the bike new or is that phil barone's old bike.

love the swingarm the bike looks great.
I worked with Bruce for the last 7 years he owned BCM so if he built your motor during that time I may have dropped a shim or two inside, find any yet?  Evil

Yes, it was phil's bike. I got it from him shortly after you guys built it, I think he only put a 100mi on after the motor build. It has a few more goodies on it since it left you guys! Cool Haven't found any shims yet  Huh?, but it just ate the sprag gear and it's down at Commonwealth getting fixed (they are a great bunch of guys and highly recommend them waytogo).

Hey there. Yep, I took delivery of the Foggy about 1 week  before moving to Nashville.
I now live in Nashville. The roads here are AWESOME! Everything in Colorado seems to be North/South, or East/West. Or gravel in the mountains. I spent many years riding dirt bikes and dual sports, which is perfect for Colorado.
Here in Nashville, there are so many curvy, buff roads to explore. But I haven't hit any of the good stuff east of here. Maybe this weekend.

The Foggy I bought is amazing. It looks brand spanking new! It only has 4000 miles on it. It was babied to the max. He put a few goodies on it, like the Ducati performance steering damper, an aftermarket kick stand, the open clutch cover, and red plates. It is still running a little rich, but I'm OK with that for the time being. I do need to get it in and dyno'd sometime soon.

The bike is 85% the same as my old '01 S4. That's a good thing because I knew that bike like the back of my hand. So, the learning curve was zero. A few of the quirks my S4 had, the Foggy doesn't have. But it still has the twitchy throttle, that doesn't like to go slower than about 40 mph.

I had a smaller front tooth sprocket on my S4, but I don't really feel the need with this bike. I'm not sure if it's the aftermarket clutch. But it is a lot smoother than my S4. My S4 clutch was JERKY big time.

The bike is also a little taller than my S4, which is a good thing since I am 6'4". I am still a little tall for it, but hey, I don't care. Smiley

I can't BELIEVE the difference in power between here and in Denver. That 6000 feet makes a huge difference! I always felt my S4 was lacking power at altitude. But here, the extra power of the Foggy, and that Ducati torque and delivery, are superb.

Juliano (I think that's his handle) is a member of this forum from Nashville. We email every day or two, but haven't hooked up for a ride yet. He's on an '05 S4r that looks awesome, and I can't wait to see it. We might be able to do a ride this weekend.

Part of the reason I've been hesitant to branch out too far from home (other than the fact that I am in un-packing hell) is that it's very easy to get lost here. My old GPS just doesn't cut it, so I am waiting for one I bought off EBay just for the bike. I have all the mounting hardware, just waiting for the Nuvi to arrive tomorrow, or Monday. Sad

Sorry, I don't have pictures yet. I am a photographer, and I just can't go snap a few photos and post them. I just can't do it! I need to get something worthy of a post from a photog. Smiley

I have  a YouTube link to the bike that the original owner posted for me to druel over before I took delivery. But when I post it here, it doesn't work. Bummer.

Ah, the NOISY open dry clutch. LOVE IT!

I did take this picture:

nice of you to bring this thread back monsterman. i was going to bump this at some point... Smiley

i haven't done anything major. last mod i did was rizoma sportline's and CRG LS mirrors. still not completely sold on bar end mirrors. still shopping for signals...still undecided on which rearsets (not very many options for the S4's). having my bellypan painted black. wondering what i'm going to do with the CF covers...etc. [moto]

you guys do anything new?

I am glad to see this thread resurrected.

My Foggy is in the shop getting it's 6k service. It's been in there for quite some time, but the weather has been cold so I haven't asked about it for a few weeks. It's less depressing in the winter to not see it sitting in the garage every time I come home at night.

I hope to get it this week and then start the 'sun' dance for an early spring.

forgot to mention along with the CC triple/clips install a few months ago when i went to Speeddog for my 18k mi service, we got a squish set for my cams and installed a lightweight flywheel. the bike definitely feels more responsive overall.

and the cyclecat triple and clip ons made the bike handle much better in the twisties...
a sargent seat was a great upgrade as well. it actually transformed the handling dramatically. the bike feels more solid, as if i tweaked my suspension or something. i guess that's how sh*tty the stock seat is (but the seat was 6 yrs old). this is something that didn't happen in such an obvious way when i replaced the stock seats on other bikes i've owned.

nice of you to bring this thread back monsterman.

Dude, seriously. You need to get us straight. I'm Monstermash and I don't own a Foggy. I would love to have one but I have to settle for my slightly modded S2R1K.  Wink

Monsterman is the guy who owns one. Geesh, can we get it straight please!  laughingdp
