Thought I'd throw up a picture of my boy Boris, a rescue dog we adopted from the RSPCA when he was 9 weeks old! The name came from there and my girls would not let me change it so Boris it is! He is a Kelpie/Cattle dog cross and spoilt rotten.

Cheers,

Scott

Robbie, our old Scotty...master of all he surveys.

Tucked into a cool, dark (had to use flash) corner of our home office.

Najee's progress...

well it has been a few months since we did the ACell injections into the big baby's left rear knee.

This June we finally are starting to see some improvement in the joint.

He is nagging me to play daily now but I have been taking it really slow and careful with him

and his spirits seem to be much more upbeat since he is feeling apparently better

he is getting two leash walks a day around the block totally about a half mile and is no longer showing soreness after the second walk

April and May you could hear his knee pop like a knuckle as he would climb the stairs at the end of the day which was a change....

I guess things were stating to regenerate but not in perfect symmetry,

this month the joint has been quiet and he is actually starting to forget to favor it more and more

I took this snap of him this afternoon presenting his healing leg and drooling happily (it is one of his best talents, he is a gifted drooler)

I hope some day to see him bounding across an open field again with that stunning motion Corso's have in full charge

We may go for a second round of ACell in August or September...the vet wanted to give the first round 5-6 months to assess results

he is quite happy with the changes we are seeing

I just have to make sure the big lummox doesn't screw the joint up again because he is feeling so much better

Was just wondering about his progress the other day.  Thanks for giving us the update and of course for the great picture of him.  (He's HUGE!)

oh he is a pretty big boy  128 lbs....but very stealthy...

we put his 4'x4' cushion mat/bed next to ours (also known as his "stink pad" since it has his unique BO) on the floor

at some point in the night I will wake up to the fishy aroma of his breath...

he quietly slithers up onto the Kingsize from the foot of the bed between my wife and me

and tries to get some pillow....this character is stealthier than a VC Sapper

after eating and walks,,,, his favorite thing is bedroom air-conditioning and going fetal.....

safely flanked by the wife and me

Done got adopted by one of those little lap dogs...

Not quite sure why this little puppy is being referred to as "My Dog"
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Jeebers Bicks, try waxing before posting these personal pics, wouldja?!    :o

Oh wait.  That's a dog... (And a nice looking one at that!)     ;D

In other news....

Went to the dog park this morning.  Haven't been in a looong time.  We were there for only a few minutes and an Am. bulldog attacked a husky and, as you can imagine, wasn't considering letting go.

Owners got into the thick of it with one guy absolutely just wailing on the bulldog trying to get it to release the husky. The dog was eventually pulled off after what seemed like hours (maybe 5? minutes), a guy who we learned was the attacking dog's owner just laid in the dirt face down, not moving.

He did eventually get up but was bleeding pretty badly from his arm and hand.  He and his wife were older (65 ish) and she was quite tiny and frail.  Not sure what their story was w/the dog but not the typical "looking" owner for this breed (based on my experience - call me a profiler).

We were able to call 911 and the EMT's were there w/in a minute or two tops.   [thumbsup]   No doubt there were doctor and vet visits shortly after but we left once the pros were there.

Just feel sorry for the attacking dog since it'll likely "pay the "price".     :'(
