I know it's kinda early, but anyone up for making the Talimena run the last week of October?

I havn't decided exactly how to do it yet. I'm thinking about staying at the farm and taking out from there each day. But I'm also thinking about packing a bag and just making a trip through some of the roads in AR as well. We could find some cheap motels and just ride all day  [moto]

The changing of the seasons should be in full swing that time of year and there's not a better place to witness it. I've included a link to the google maps view of the road as well as a few pics of the drive. Post up and let's discuss some options  Kiss

Some of the DFWM group is heading up to AR via the talimena trail on Sept. 20th coming back on Monday the 22nd.  You guys are welcome to join.  The roads are great and the DFWM people aren't half bad either.

Swanny, thanks for the invite  waytogo  I will do everything I can to make that ride with you guys  [moto] I'll know more as the date approaches and keep you posted.

Hank, I've planned to take of the week of Oct. 20-24.  If you can make it work with your work schedule it should be a blast  Grin

Bryan, good to see you last night.  It was nice meeting your wife too.  She seems like a nice girl.  Would she consider coming with you?  I think I can get Marci to come along. She's been wanting to ride for weeks now. But it's so damn hot  bang head  This would be a good time of year to get away for a few days. Talk it over and we'll see if we can get together before then to discuss.

There is a small group going up to AR via the Talimena Trail in Sept, but as for Oct we have AMS trackday (Oct 18th) and our Texas Hill Country ride (Oct 24th)  back to back in the middle of the month.  I love the TT.  Post up in the DFW AR thread here if you can meet up w/ those fellas.
