Did you shorten the cross members in the trellis?

A waste of time, money, and otherwise good paint and ducati parts.  Do you even have to crank em up to get "best of show"?

To each his/her own I guess. What the **** do I know.

May as well be a Hardley.

2-valver -- ST2 engine (which is 944cc with watercooled heads and thus the radiator)

Anymore DesmoDevil frames?  Unfortunately no -- not as one-off custom as I did prior.  But there is a wild bike that I am doing a small sequence of frames / bodywork for called the "Sport Radical" (working name for now).  It's the Sport Classic I would have built instead of what Ducati fostered upon folks.  Some of my long time customers have seen the design (it's a nakid sportbike) -- most got really excited rather fast to be honest and placed deposits. (2-valve only DS1000/900cc) I might take additional orders from others as it will be a one-time sequence build to provide exclusivity.

tease!  :)
so... any chance of a peek at this       radical?

Nice work!  I always applaud fine craftsmanship, especially of the two-wheeled version.

Thread drift...

In early 2009 -- we will post some of the earlier artwork and Solidwork models.  What differs on this bike from the DesmoDevils is we will use clay to create the bodywork (we will do a tutorial at the time) and make in carbonfiber as we will do a few concurrent.  The frame itself is CNC mandrel bent chromoly, TIG'd & normalized and CNC'd 6061-T6 items integrating it all together.  It will have sportbike geometry as well.

End thread drift....

As for Ricky's HyperDevil?  More pictures later via him.  It will be headed down the Dragon's Tail shortly as that is its hideout.  As all MotoCreations bikes, they are all ridden with gusto.  Most get ridden more than a majority of most Ducati's in fact.  There are enough regular posters on the TOB/DMF who have ridden mine (or customers) or been with me riding throughout the West Coast over the past four years who can dispel any myths of rideability.

I preferred the earlier pics when it left Mark's shop, but hey, it turned out the way the owner wanted it, and as long as he's happy and riding it, it's a success...   [beer]

Sounds really cool!  [thumbsup]

Here's a couple of other pictures of my bike. Thank you to all who can appreciate the hard work that went into this project.

Hey Mark, is that the entry you were talking about for our show during bike week?

How long is it? I hope it fits on the dyno.

Oh, I really like the side view... cept I'd open it up a bit, you can't see much of the engine... and you did do frame work.

The frame is a one off from Mark Savory at  Motocreations. The only thing stock to the frame is the headstock.

Somewhat similar silhoutte to a V-rod, but with Duc styling cues.  Kind of interesting.  At the very least, it is a truly custom chopper, unlike most of the HD clones floating around.

I am quite intrigued by this Sport Classic style creation...  It is not nice to put teasers out there with nothing to show for it.

Might get a better reception on the HD/ cruiser/ chopper- bobber boards.
To me it's another me-too vanity bike with no real value - a waste of good parts and effort  :-\

I'm a long time Ducati rider & new to this board and I'm surprised about some of the comments on this bike. Whether it's your kind of bike or not, to me it's still a unique Ducati motorcycle. To say it might as well be a Harley or it's a waste of time and money is pretty hypocritical, especially with all the Ducati guys/gals that buy a limited production or high dollar Duc and load it up with every piece of carbon fiber, custom paint job and bolt-on part available. So I guess I'm supposed to agree that a Hailwood with a steering dampener (and who knows what else is bolted on it) is not a vanity bike... come on really. At least this HyperDevil is a one off Ducati creation. I've spoken to Mark from Motocreation and he says there are very few bolt-on parts on this bike. That to me says a lot about the uniqueness of this bike. To most of the US sport bike community, any Ducati is unique, even bone stock. I think the HyperDevil, along with any other truly custom Ducati, just takes it one step further and serves as a compliment to all Ducatis.

Very nice!  Overall I like, but would pass on the radiator shroud...it appears to detract from the bike IMO.
