Two days ago the left mirror on the 696 inexplicably broke off. The mirror was always loose, even when it was fully tightened down. Luckily this is a known problem. Yesterday we discovered an even bigger problem. No lights. The strange part is that ONE blinker is still working!?! The front right blinker went out a few weeks ago, and we automatically assumed that it was the bulb. Catie wanted to replace he fronts anyway, so we were in no hurry to fix it.  CJ noticed on the Saturday ride that I never used my brakes (was riding Catie's bike for the hell of it,) but forget to mention it to me  laughingdp

So off for warranty service she goes  waytogo The timing really stinks. All of this great weather ahead of us, Catie on vacation, yet no bike to ride  bang head

bang head Yup, I noticed it going into the corners but filed it away...for some reason. I blame it on the wind beating my head around.  laughingdp

Hope it gets fixed in a timley manner.  waytogo

Yo Zack, you going to AMS Alvarodo? I may take the hyper in for the 600mile manana.  I'll have to call first to see what's up there.

Bar end mirrors work for me, but I do like the little Rizomas on the 695.  I do not miss the big plastic stock mirrors.

I think that we are going to drop it off at Eurosport. I am dropping my 1098 off as well. Rear brake needs to be fixed, and I am hoping that they can get that pesky recall taken care of (got my letter from DNA today  waytogo )

Do you need a ride back from AMS?

Don't know yet, thanks for the offer.

The 600 on the monster only took an hour or so, so I'll probably wait.

Dropped off the 696 and the 1098 today. I have no idea how long they will be out. New Years will slow it down even more  Angry

Derrick said today they were almost caught-up.  good luck.  I'm still reeling from the S4RS sitting there calling my name.....is there a memory pill I can take to wipe it clean from today's AMS visit?

I did. They may have my 1098 done today. Catie's 696 could take a bit longer.

Looks like the 1098 needs a new chain. I should have it back on Friday. They do not have the rear brake fixed yet.  Not bad really, considering that they also did the VR recall.

The 696 hasn't been done yet.

Only 5k miles. They said it could make it a bit longer, but went ahead and let them replace it.

considering that they also did the VR recall.

Did you get the new battery compartment & heat shield?

Have you already had the sprocket recall?!?

Sprocket recall was done when they did the first service. The ner battery compartment and heat shield were done today. I just wish that I hadn't had the VR meltdown already  Tongue
