Mother

as many of you who have met me know

I like to drink

but

it appears that I may be on the wagon against my will

the last 3 times I have partaken in the beverage from the gods (edit* without being under the heavy influence of denial so more like the last 15 times)

on the first drink

Instant horrible headache

and nausea on as little as 2 beers

Drinking really expensive vodka means no nausea but still get the brutal headache

as little as 2-4 drinks over the course of a night will result in a week long hangover

and

what can only be described as moderate depression

Also regular pop makes me feel like shit

and I cannot stand the taste of aspartame

this is going to force me to become healthy and that can only suck

who wants to live until you are shitting in diapers again?

Smoke weed instead.               ;)

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

can't do that either

you know that guy you smoke with that gets all needy and can't be left alone?

will follow you around everywhere and gets all paranoid?

I'm that guy on pot  :-[

Bun-bun

Not to ba alarmist, but have you gone to a Dr. about this?
Sudden changes like you describe can be symptoms of a more serious problem than sobriety.

So.....does that make me an enabler on the alcohol thing since I can't put away the Jamesons?

I agree with this. ETOH always used to make my head hurt (cluster headaches, AKA migraines) until some doc put me on a prophylactic BP med. Food for thought at least...

In the meantime, JBubble won't have to worry about a designated driver.  ;D

thought about that

something similar happened about 5 years ago

couldn't even choke down a beer

switched to vodka and everything was fine

after a few months I could drink beer again and no issues

but this seems to be pretty wholistic and very sudden

but there doesn't seem to be any other physiological symptoms

except I am starting to have some very intense dreams lately

don't we have any doctors in this crowd?

painters and lawyers but no Docs?

last night after a beer I was a mess and poked and prodded myself

BP: 130/84
HR: 95 (a little elevated for a resting rate)
RR: 16
SPo2: 95% on room air (also a little abnormal)
CBG: 119
3 lead: NSR

so in theory i am healthy besides what is probably a lack of cardiopulmonary efficiency on my part

I kinda have the same problem. I used to be quite the drinker and have thoroughly abused my body. Now if I have more than a few beers I can get severe headaches. I can have a glass or two of tequila and don't get the headaches but the nausea follows really soon.  I was never a light weight.

+1 on seeing a doctor, or bending one's ear.

IIRC, sqweak (member here in SoCal) has some kind of issues crop up with drink, he's on the wagon.
Can't for the life of me remember what symptoms he had.

Good luck with it.
