I don't think the Cadillac is the same arguement as the OCC stealth bike.

The stealth bike doesn't appear to have been designed as a whole, as OverCaffeinated stated, it's just a lot of off the shelf parts bolted/welded together. The off the shelf parts, clearly visible, and recognizable.

I've seen a couple OCC bikes that I liked...but in general, the theme bikes suck.

The Apache & I,Robot bikes weren't bad.  Theme bikes..yes..but not too over the top.

I'd like to see that!   [cheeky]

While I think some of the OCC one-off bikes have some value as a piece of art, in the same way as some other art using metal as a medium, I wouldn't ride it if they offered to pay me.

I thought that it was pretty slick - sort of "cold" but very much to my liking!

Are you kidding? Come on! Pair up that bike with this helmet you'd have to be invisible to radar!!!  [cheeky]

I truthfully don't know how they stay in business.

Most of their big-buck builds are paid for by large corporations
that and the tshirt sales ;)

Which one of their bikes was it that jumped over the shark? It was in the second season I think....I don't know.

I like some of the stuff Jesse James does at West Coast Choppers, and the bikes Indian Larry made, but the only bike OCC built that I really thought was cool was the all copper one. That was pretty slick.

Grampa

it's not a hot as the PEZ bike

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

Dave- There's a Triumph at Triumph Superstore on 7th St. that you might like....all bodywork has been painted in a war plane theme.... I even mentioned it to someone when we were at the Monster 1100 unveiling..."Dave would love this!"

IMO, their most interesting stuff is in the background of the show. Not that I watch much, can't stomach the 'drama' or the hideous theme bikes but can appreciate the effort that goes into them.

If you like Larry's stuff, you'll probably dig my hardtail project which had been spotted in progress on TOB. By spring I'm hoping. Stu can't wait to see it.  :)
