Wow, I'm amazed at all the negative responses. I've never seen any other shop build bikes as unique as the ones that they make. There's only so many ways that you can paint a tank on a chopper or only so many degrees that you can rake out the forks on a bike. These bikes are an expression of creativity; not ones that you'd see roll up next to you at a stop light. As many people who post up on here for the projects that they're working on, you'd think some people would appreciate the work that goes into something like this.  :-\

think about it like this then...most people here RIDE their bikes....would you or could you see yourself actually riding this bike?...or alot of their themed bikes?...and not just to cruise up and down the boardwalk on a Saturday night on your way to Sonic to scope chics while eatin some tots.

You can ride all these bikes.

They're Harleys...but you don't have to go fast all the time. ;)

Usually, there is at least one thing that you can find appealing their bikes.  This has NOTHING!!

I'm actually offended by it!   >:(

I gotta agree with you there.

Those I like. They have a very purposeful look to them.

I also like these a lot:

Rick, the guy who welds and does the metal work for the theme, has got a lot of skill. He probably gets paid the least.

Most of OCCs theme bikes are just rediculous. They have the same formula for every theme bike it goes something like...make the tank look like the product, etch the logo into the wheels, send it out for paint in company colors, stick on stupid accessories with double sided tape, unveil, repeat.

Don't sweat it.  You have got to be the only person on this board who didn't know OCC was tragically uncool.  You obviously don't follow what everyone else thinks.  So this actually makes you cooler than the rest of us.

Opinions were requested, and you got 'em!  [laugh]

How can you be amazed?  Thread after thread here shows that, in general, this is not a "chopperphilic" crowd.  Now post up a cafe racer, and the crowd will go wild.

I, too, can't stand most of OCC's stuff, but I did like some of Indian Larry's work.

Unrelated note: Ducaholic, where the hell do you get those smileys? The second one... just ... awesome.

yes...you can ride those linked bikes...but the OCC bikes?...c'mon...they need 4 lanes wide to turn around with the rake on em and they look like the only good thing they can do is keep your armpits dry...

don't get me wrong...I am not against cruisers...or customs...hell...my favorite company was Confederate...just some of the choppers get simply out of control ridiculous where riding them just doesn't look enjoyable or fun to me...

You must wear this costume to ride this bike.

which is why I like the ones I linked to.

They're not choppers.

They're motorcycles.

They go...turn...and stop.

honestly i didnt' like indian larrys stuff, sometimes it was just too "traditional looking" , while it takes skill, it just was too "old" for my taste.

the occ stuff is usually very tacky and yes they have a "formula" down for stuff and that is what they do.  but they do have some creativity in their designs, though they may not be my idea of good taste i can appreciate the work and the designing of thme.

not accounting for personality or ethics, i would say that billy lane's bikes are definitely cool, though i think his best design is an older one the hubless rear wheel was definitely something different.

the matt hotch bikes are nice too a bit different but then again none o fthese 1 off bikes are really for riding everyday, they are more for show and to say "hey i spent 300$k on this bike"  which is cool if you can afford it.
