And speaking of cookies:  I saw an ad the other night for Newton's (of the Fig fame) with a new product:

Newton Thins. 

Blueberry & brown sugar, and a few other flavors.  Picked up the blueberry ones last night.

My latest suggestion for next one is "no first name" as his first name.

my little sister is the only 1 of 4 children with a middle name. Hers is NMN because when they were filling out the birth certificate the clerk wanted to make sure everyone knew there was No Middle Name...

Just got the OK for a field trip for the Math/Financial Literacy course I'm teaching at a local high school -- we're going to cap off a week-long unit on the financial & mathematical aspects of automobiles (and, ahem, motorcycles...) with a Friday night trip to the Speedworld Dragstrip in Wittman, AZ.    We're going to be using the timing system & other aspects of competition to bring some real math into the experience.

It doesn't hurt that the principal is a gear-head and wants to run one of her cars that night.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! My boss got fired today.
And her assistant cried in the meeting announcing it. He said he was really emotional.

I mean, I feel bad for the lady but shit...if you aren't going to run your team how it needs to be run, you need to find something else to do.
