Is there a sweaty betty emoticon?

Hit 105 today.   :P

Congrats on the resignation and subsequent, entertaining conversation with the manager, Zilbert.   [thumbsup]

I contracted with an ad agency a few years ago.  The only full time designer gave 2 weeks notice and the owner, who knew she'd be in a bind, told him that the two weeks notice was illegal.

Designer guy and I got a lot of laughs out of that one.   ;D

So there was finally a formal inquiry as to why i was leaving.

I stated that as before, at-will employment doesn't require me to give reason or even notice for that matter and that it was simple professional courtesy that kept me from accepting the new job immediately.

They didn't take that very well.

So I said, "My reasons are my own and well within the terms outlined in my contract and scope of work documentation."
I woulda told them...

Lady at work today: "if you were to die right now, are you 100% sure you would go to heaven?"
Me: "Why lady? Do you have a gun? Are you about to shoot me? Planning on blowing this place up? Why are you suggestively asking me if I'm at peace with dying RIGHT NOW??"

She must go the same church I did in Jax! We had to go knock on doors in the summer and try to save people. I would just ask for a glass of water or a coke.

And then?

Nothing yet. Being the only person who knows anything about the system in a 4500 employee enterprise means you have a lot of input about what happens next...and what will happen next is they will bend over to keep me happy before next Thursday.

...but unless they fire the douchebag and make you the boss...

you won't be happy.

Got Duc

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Being an alien, I'm not familiar with "at will".  So its kinda like a contractual "casual" arrangement "here are the terms, but either of us can pull the pin at any time no questions asked"?
