not the most violent I've encountered here, but certainly went on for the longest duration...  nothing damaged or broken... just well shaken up..

We live atop Victoria's most significant fault line.  Its fortunately not much of fault line by global standards.  Citizens of Japan, NZ or California probably wouldnt be too concerned by what I regard as a decent shaking up.

Still, when it goes on for a while you wonder how bad its gonna get.....  Our house is built on a hillside on concrete stumps, close to the ground at the front but maybe 1.5 metres tall at the back.... we were waving around a fair bit but no nasty sudden violent jolts  ;D.

Just heard from a couple of friends in different Melbourne suburbs (160km away from here)... they felt a little of it too.

We get an occasional shaker, but nothing serious.

We also get the odd incidence of a mini tornado, but they don't call it that.

We're famous for our just plain sucky weather. [laugh]

We should be able to get the sun room roof mostly done today if we don't screw around.

There's other things to do after that, and it shouldn't get that warm until after noon.
