Told him I am 61 and not sure if I want to take on 15-20 person team and won't if I don't feel I will do justice to them

but I agreed to give him an organizational blueprint he can use....

I am seeing that org plan project as my bargaining chip to continue in unsupervised autonomy

without whining bags of human flesh looking at me to settle their various hashes for them

My perspective on it is....Man am I glad I don't work in any departments with supervisors and stuff any more!

My other perspective is, you better take that boss job or your going to get a new boss. Do you want to train a new boss (to leave you alone) or do you want to manage the situation?
Cause it doesn't look like your going to be able to hide out anymore.

Speaking of jobs, one of my employees is making a great case to be fired.


If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Not far from it. Hiding from me in the bathroom is not actually in your job description.

Isn't that the truth...I am torn between training a new boss and being the boss

as a boss I will have to train my director, carry him and have nearly 2 dozen malcontents aimed at me

as a flushed-out solo act I only have to really manage one clown...well two if you count me in
