I feel your pain, that wall was a beast of a bill. hurts more as we've been trying to keep away from credit except when ordering online, so it was all cash.

I have help for a change on a project but he's not available again until Sunday so we're doing the plywood, ice/water shield and tar paper then.
I'm low on funds so shingles have to wait now.

you probably have weird term for them like asphalt flats or something equally odd

We dont use 'em at all.

Roofing tiles or corrugated steel.  Our house and shed roofs are corrugated steel (zincalume).

I was considering doing metal, but we're both more familiar with doing a shingle roof and this way it will match the look of the front part
