that is flippin cold for this time of year!
-11°F here last night - 0°F this morning
at least the wind has calmed down, yesterday was brutal

tip: don't let your pom-poms feeze in the first place  ;)

Supposed to go hiking today but I would like to get out of it.

Slept in till 0800. There was a big commotion in the alley last night and I had a hard time getting back to sleep.

the boiler runs for a few minutes...then stops...then runs a few minutes..then stops.

The circulator for that zone runs pretty steady.

I haven't balanced the slab yet, but I'm starting to play with water temps a little. I don't want it to get too hot in the slab.

The zone that runs is much larger square footage wise. I also upped the flow rate as I have circulators with that option. The real issue is it's make the beast with two backsing cold out. The house is still comfy.
So my efforts to satisfy the t-stat in the main part of the house were successful. An additional ~5 deg of water temp through the mixing valve and that zone's circulator on high flow and the boiler is not running and neither is the circulator.

This all at 10 deg F.

When the heavy cardboard floor covering comes up it may need more tweaking.

That should reduce the propane usage.
