Really?  I thought most (fuel aside) was a lot cheaper when I was down there compared to the US.  Granted that was over 10 years ago so my knowledge is far from up to date.  Round-trip airfare cost me more than a month on the ground, mostly in the Outback but including some Great Barrier Reef time.

10 years ago would have been better as currency was nearly 2 to 1. Nearly parity now. Our wages are much higher in general here. Cost of living matches.

Yup, exchange rate is much worserer (from US perspective) than it was a decade ago.  I aint complaining.

Managed a bit of a ride with the daughter on board today. Morning church ride, then home with a bit of a detour.

She's a champ. Everytime I gear up, she's asking for a ride on the Monster. Great!
