As for the TS - Well, it sat for a couple weeks and I can't get it to start now.  It'll run on a puff of ether, so I'm guessing some trash got dislodged from the tank and got in the carburetor.  At least it's super simple to get the carb on add off.  It'll get there.  I at least got the headlight working and a have the tail light working.  No brake lights or signal lights working yet though.  It'll get there.

dp - Yea, not holding my breath on the budget.  We gave the contractor our 'soft' limit and we're still under it at the moment.

Old bikes have lots of fiddly bits to iron out! Not sure Id have the patience so good on you.

just got to the shop a  few mins ago . ..  was leaving the Suk at the shop for a front suspension overhaul . . . then walked a few miles to get to the rental place and then here . . .

It probably helps that we are doing a stick built modular.  Since we've already gotten a fixed price on the structure it leaves less wild cards in the final number.
