We have a well and the water is full of scale and particles. We have a water softener that came with our house but it keeps breaking (because the water is too dirty) and the warranty didn't transfer over.  When the softener works the water is fine for washing but not great for drinking.  I think the multi-stage filter will be a much better solution. I see.  I had sulfur in the well water at one place I lived.  If you could get past the smell, it didn't hurt you, but actually helped your immune system some of the old folks said ~

You guys should move to wherever the water comes out of the ground and is fit to drink. ;D

We did have the water tested before we moved in and it is technically ok but we didn't try drinking it ourselves. :-X

I've got the forks apart looking for the mystery clunk.  DucVet's indulging me, and hopefully keeping me out of trouble.

Had a clunk in my front forks recently too.  Turns out it was the factory dual-rate springs.  Under compression the softer rate would coil-bind before going into the harder rate.  Annoying!  I had the springs replace w/0.80 rate Race-Tech springs and the problem went away!!!

Oh yeah, it's friday more 'Ning BABY!!!  [thumbsup]

I guess there is a little more ning left.  [coffee]

It's cloudy and not warm.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I've graduated from coffee to water, and now eating some heavily frosted cake.  Bring on sugar rush!

This was clunking on both compression and rebound. I also had pretty much zero rebound damping.  I've got maybe 5K miles on the new Race Tech springs and gold valves, so I was a bit curious about what was going on in there.  So far, everything seems OK, nothing broken or loose.  I'm going to finish checking everything out, maybe send some pics to Ducvet  for a professional opinion, then fresh fluid and hope for the best.
