I'm with you.  While I have NO tolerance for people like that, the only thing that makes us civilized is due process.  Without it, we're all in grave danger.  It's a difficult issue to deal with and a fine line to walk.  Personally I'd be happy to put this guy in a bath tub and toss in a toaster, but it's that kind of raw reaction that needs to be assiduously avoided.  Due process is the price we pay for freedom.  It's far from perfect, but it's better than some alternatives.

Sometimes I think the universe has a sick sense of humor.  Other times I think we get a glimpse of what seems like justice.  Let's hope this time we get a glimpse of justice.

BP, I totally get where you are coming from.  I also know from experience that life isn't fair.  All we can do is deal with it the best we can.  You are an amazing human being and your heart, IMHO, is in the right place.  (((Hugs))) from your hippy yoga teacher friend.  ;)

uh..... it's more than just hate. people can hate all they want, but this guy took his hate and shot a man  in front of a bunch of witnesses....and i'm sure the whole thing was caught on security cameras. soooooooooo why waste time, money effort and energy keeping the piece of shit alive.

this is not a case of some guy comes home and catches his wife in bed with his brother then pounds the life out of both of them and we the people need to take a lil time to get the facts straight.... this guy has a past, a website filled with his aganda, and if not mistaken, he had a list of other targets in his pocket. all it takes is some good natured nurse to trip over the life support cord, and the worlds douche bag pile gets a lil lighter. no muss no fuss.

No killer is worth more than the crime, IMO. If they're proven to be guilty without a doubt, too bad, time for the dirt nap.

bp's stat that it takes 45k to house some such douche every year really erks me.  >:( I bust my hump for 50 hours a week and somebody like this can cost taxpayers a considerable fraction of my annual wage to sit on his ass in jail? Sorry, but I'll personally subsidize the ammo fund if need be.

I agree with due process to a degree, but this guy needs to go.
